DK’s form policing leads to a lot of running

8 Pax gathered for a morning of perfect weather and slightly more running than was originally planned.  After Donkey Kong’s suggestion that YHC was not “hurting” like everyone else the running began.

as of 8am this morning this post if officially 4 days old – I finally caught my breath from all the running., sorry.  DK definitely ramped things up calling out YHC.  Biscuit quietly motored through the workout effortlessly (at least it looked that way).  Hats off to Beaver our War Daddy. Picasso and Cbroissant have certainly stepped up their game, I see some Q’ing in their future!  Good job men.

 

How about another berpie…

21 of the faithful met at Area 51 for an old fashioned beat down.  It all began in the great fog of 2014. The heat and mugginess brought out the complainers, but the leaders pressed on.The running was limited but the pain was abundant.  The berpies were plentiful and not one left dissatisfied… At least I think.

Moleskin:

Welcome two FNG’s: Nick Nazeman – Fonzie and Tad Dunn – Jaws.  The entire workout probably had about 100 berpies.  We had a 2.0, The Fountain of Youth’s very own 63 year old Baby Boomer, as well as a couple of A51 Hall of Famers in Joker, Slap Shot and Calloway.  Once again Ocho Cinco proved to be the fastest man south of Hwy 51, well done.  Old Tenembaum true to form pushed through the workout with a poker face like no other, can’t tell if he’s suffering or having fun.  The mugginess and fogginess didn’t stop anyone.  well done men, aye!

 

Cold Cuts can be Risky Business

13 Pax including two 2.0’s and two FNG’s brought the pain for a good old fashioned Saturday burn at Area 51.

The Thang:

Indian run from the front of the school to the back with the Pax in the line doing the called exercise while the person in the back runs to the front.  Called exercises were high knees, butt kicks, shuffle both ways.

Two FNG’s brought the pain this weekend.  Welcome Cold Cut (Michael McAllister) and Risky Business (Joel Rutledge). Strong showing for your first outting.  Two 2.0’s also appeared for about 5 minutes of exercise and 55 minutes of throwing rocks and messing around.  Floor Slapper’s wife thought he was in the driveway packing the car to go camping, must have a lot of stuff to pack if she didn’t know you were gone.  Glad to Co-Q with my man Frazier, always a lung buster to work out with you.  Sorry for the late post of this BB.  Memorial Day festivities can be demanding!

Outland & A51 Mud Free Mini Convergence

The Men of Outland and Area 51 converged for a mud free workout at Area 51.  While only 1 member of Outland was there, Hairband represented in full force and brought the pain.

48 Hour old backblast, sorry for the delay.  at least the workout started on time.  Great work by the pax this morning, everyone stayed together and pushed hard.  The cold weather is thinning the herd a bit but the faithful continue to suit up – you know who you are and you’re the reason F3 contnues to grow. Dolphin showed us up by arriving for what was his 3rd workout of the morning.  Beast Mode.  Hats of to Twister, at age 50 he was our war daddy, aye!

Who needs the Day Zero Challenge when we can take a little Spartan inspiration and do “The 300” for a little strength and endurance challenge at Area 51.  Six of the faithful were crazy enough for it Saturday morning.  Yes, this is a late post.  Yes, I am a slacker. Yes, this workout was painful.

PAX not thrilled with Far Side’s request to combine cycle 3 & 4  into a superset of 50 reps but they powered through… and this wasn’t requested again.  All the PAX finished The 300 strong!!  Thanks for taking on the challenge.

Many thanks to Kermit for making the trek down from Metro Country.  Evidently, he brought his speed with him.  Keep an eye out for him at the Panthers game today #Pantherpride.  Team Chepu took both war daddy and war babby, Abacus and dennis the menace always bring it – nice.  Did I see Floor Slapper throwing up in the woods during the sprints???  Maybe he was just trying to cut weight to be faster.  Maybe he was nervous about the 2.0’s first soccer game.  regardless the dude was running fast and didnt quit.  Good to see Slicker out for his 2nd workout.  An Outland local, he made the trek to see what A51 hadin store.  Countertp and Zippadee:  you’ve got a strong local coming your way.

YHC was encouraged by Hops, wild enjoying a cold beverage, to make the this mornings workout a tribute to the late, great Waler Payton but after a couple burpies I lost all sense of creativity and went to plan B: Run, burpie, run.  The two 2.0’s got off easy with a mild does of pain and then they decided to chase geese around campus, not sure if that’s a workout but they both appeared to be sweating to they passed the test.  Unfortunately, the golf course was under mainatenence so Calloway had no choise but to post, good to see you brother.  Skinner got himself a good burn in before his wife takes him downtown tonight for some good, post birthday celebrating, Happy belated 41st!  Coal Miners Daughter, otherwise know as Run CMD, brought the pain even though he’s got an empty house and could have slept in peacefully, #bachelorweekend. Joker was true to form leading the pax in trail runs and playground circuits.  If you’re not first, your last. Always strong, thanks for setting the pace.  Abacus finally got a saturday off from Q’ing A51, thanks for all the leadership lately.  Lots of stromg hussle out there this morning followed by a strong showing at DD for some 2nd F and delicious donuts.  Have a good weekend fellas.

no workouts on Monday except for the convergence at South Charlotte Middle School at 7am.  Rainbow wigs are not mandatory but they are strongly encouraged.  Bring your 2.0’s Fathers, brothers, uncles, neighbors and total stragers.  Let’s break a 100 PAX and sweat out a good burn before we load up on hot dogs and potatoe chips.

Z took part 2 of the fly due a YHC’s lack of creativity and fuel in the tank.  FNG Curry came out with Ocho Cinco and had s very strong showing for his first downPAINment, wlecome brother.  Good to see the Tickler back in the mix.  YHC called out the log at the trail head and then tripped over it on the way out #faceplant.  Good work by all – Keep it up.

Strong work by the PAX.  many moments of silence as we touched out a good bit of running between the drills but the group stayed tight (per Zip a Dee’s command of course).  Dennis the Menac and Keuchly, both 2.0’s, showed some good skills trying to knock eachother off the blance beam while we all suffered, not sure that was an excersize but it looked fun.  Boomer once again waves the War daddy flag showing everyone how to get it done at 62 – t claps.  Ocho Cinco holds the title for the fastest man on the planet, or at least at Area 51 this morning – #cheetah.  Good represenation at Coffeteria for some 2nd F.  Thanks for the commraderie, everyone – glad to share the monring with you all.

There will be no Area 51 workout on July 13.  There will be a convergence at Sun Valley High School in Indian Trail to kick off the new location and get a good old fashion beat down by Counter Top and Zip a Dee.  Be on the lookout for more details.

July 4th convergence at 7am at South Charlotte middle school at 7am.  Get  a good burn before you burn your hot dogs later in the day.

July 13 is the PIG PICKIN” BABY!!!  RSVP ASAP!!!  A DJ, BBQ, kickball, side dishes, BYOB, bring a side dish, YHC is the official GARBAGE MAN, this will be a GREAT EVENT, if your in town YOU WILL WANT TO BE THERE, please RSVP ASAP – I can’t think of anything else to CAPITALIZE,  Hope to see you there.

Lake Norman Excursion is the morning of July 13th.  Options of 25, 60 or 100 mile bike ride and a 5k run to start before you ride.  Taking place at Lowes HQ in Mooresville.  This is not an F3 sanctioned event but Burgundy is working it and we want to share the news in case anyone is up for the fun.
