OUR FOUNDATION

THE THREE Fs OF F3

Fitness is the magnet, Fellowship is the glue, and Faith is the purpose.

1. Fitness

Workouts take place outdoors in all weather conditions—rain, shine, heat, or snow. Led in rotation by participants, workouts adapt to all fitness levels.

2. Fellowship

Strong bonds formed in the Gloom bleed over into 2nd F lunches, coffee socials, and genuine male friendship that combats isolation.

3. Faith

Defined simply as belief in something bigger than yourself. We empower men to give back and lead in their families, workplaces, and local communities.

SCARS - THE Force Awakens

Q: F3 Elsa
PAX: 4
PAX Present:
The Worm F3 Elsa (Q)Timex Redline

WARMUP: Mosey to the Big Rock THE THANG: What i worried would be a small crowd turned into a strong turnout and epic ruck to Big Rock park. I broke out my new lightsaber trekking pole which lead the way through many a dark path this morning. Wildlife abounded including a record breaking caterpillar, at least two skunks (maybe), and one owl that trailed us for about a block. Kudos to The Worm for packing a spare headlamp and challenging us to make it all the way to Stonecrest. As always Timex and Redline set the pace while still managing to work in some Muricans. MARY: Imperials walkers and Muricans ANNOUNCEMENTS: Big challenge coming up next month! Also heard there's a ruck going this weekend, hit up taggart for deets

Summer hibernation

Q: Orange Whip
PAX: 6
PAX Present:
turkey_leg baracus Keystone ductwork Orange Whip (Q)Mr Brady

Nothing like seeing the summer winding down and the runners start to return to the gloom… The secret Ductwork, Mr Brady, Baracus text thread once again successfully increased our PAX and we had a solid group of 6, including Keystone who had been out for a few months. What began as an out-and-back changed to a suicide on Fullwood, running down and hitting every light spot, with increasing merkins at the top. Pretty much stayed together all morning. Mr Brady found some fire at the end and we booked it up the hill. Heard a lot of mumble chatter about Mr B’s Scottish travel issues, but not as bad as his old contractor issues...so he’s got that going for him. Turkey Leg is planning on running Boston again, anyone else? Bueller? Ductwork joined us on 2 hours of sleep (Geraldo, are you listening?) but still pushed hard till the end. Look closer at Baracus’s Strava. Allegedly he’s been walking instead of running. Keystone pushed the pace and it was good to have him back out. Joined Peak 51 for COT and coffee. They tried to do BOM at 6:14 which is illegal as we had timed our return perfectly. Mall Cop with the takeout.
