Count-o-rama 1…89

Lord’s Prayer

Moleskine: Great execution by station leads for this special 9/11 workout. It was great to meet Manram from F3 Raleigh and see Starfish from F3 Winston Salem in addition to the many solid Area 51 pax coming together in this convergence. Great work by all and let’s spend today recognizing and remembering that fateful September 11, 2001 day in which we lost 2,977 men and women, 414 of which were first responders called to action to serve, protect, and save lives doing their jobs. We learned as a country, as a community, and as families – that we will endure, that we will get up when we have been knocked down. We are a strong band of F3 brothers who can lean on each other in times of need. We workout in the gloom, run in mud and over obstacles, run over mountains, and march go ruck style – together as brothers. Iron sharpens Iron.

Announcements:

Brew Ruck – bring cans to upcoming Saturday workout for Brew Ruck – reach out to Hoff for details

Columbia Mudrun sign ups final-final deadline is 9/15. F3 nation web site or reach out to Gummy for questions.

5k Kids Run For Cancer on September 20 in Ballantyne. Email Header or Honey Bee for details and let them know you are participating. Will be working out/warming up the kids for their 1-mile run and will actually run the mile with them. Great cause. Wear your F3 shirts and show what F3 is about!

Great lead this morning Qs – and great words Bug. I can’t help but think that those first responders who rushed into the Trade Centers while they were burning, to help people, while everyone else was trying to get out is the perfect picture of “I am Third”. They were more concerned with helping those in need then their own safety. Aye

Great workout, the silence really helped me remember what the day was all about.

Good to see some brothers from out of town too, Welcome!

I’ll never forget that day, I was still working downtown for Bank of America and that day is seared in my memory forever.

Excellent execution fellas. Thanks for putting another great convergence together. While standing in the enormous COP it is humbling to be around so many solid men gathering together with a common purpose. The best way to honor those fallen is to continue to lead our families and communities in a positive way, making this a better world than we found it.

Aye!

No Devils Turn station? Were you worried that Hops would get lost?

Should have had one…I was in the fartsack. Sorry I missed the convergence. For the record, only one wrong turn in the 4 legs of the BRR….only cost us 30 seconds or so.

, thanks for the EH…missed you out there.

Definitely one of my more memorable F3 experiences to date. The partner work on 9/11 was very motivating/special/sobering.

Thanks to all my adopted Area 51 brothers for letting me crash….y’all are welcome up at the Dash anytime and would love to have you join in the GSO launch fun too.

Hoff – thanks for the lead and I really enjoyed the first responder specific station you led. It really drove home what those men and women did for us and those that day.

Hoff thanks for all the work you do. Also I had no idea being hoisted over your head would scare the crap out of me like that.

6 ft. off the ground is a lot scarier than being 200 ft. off the ground strapped in a roller coaster. XD

Bugeater and Area 51 Brothers, it was great to meet some of you. Please come see us in Raleigh anytime you’re in town. The silence and Lords Prayer at the end was powerful. As we were praying I remembered the story of Todd Beamer who was on Flight 93 and said that prayer with the phone operator right before he helped lead the effort to take back the plane. Truly a man who was #FreedToLead. Thanks for a memorable convergence this AM. #HonorTheFallen #IronSharpensIron

DT…my bad, didn’t mean to startle you. I just wanted to make sure pax understood proper technique and I appreciate you letting me demonstrate. Those first responders carried hundreds of people…so if anyone struggles with partner carry, please practice it as we never know when we will need it, but if ever we do we will need to be prepared. It was an honor to lead and all the Q’s crushed it.

It’s all good. I guess I better learn how to do those before my first GORUCK Challenge. 🙂
