  • Difficulty sleeping.

  • Fatigue.
  • Headache.
  • Loss of appetite.
  • Nausea or vomiting.
  • Rapid pulse (heart rate)
  • Shortness of breath with exertion.

For my first Q at Peak 51 the weather man was calling for rain, rain and more rain.  I believe in prayer, so the prayers went up, and no drops came down!  Not a prophet, but the Lord is good and does answer prayers.  Weather man is now 0-3 on rain called for my leads.  God is good.

After Hacker safely landed all four tires back on terra firma after coming in on two, we were off.

COP

  • 15 SSH
  • 20 Imperial Walkers
  • 10 Merkins
  • 20 Squats

Down to the bottom of the parking lot facing the church.

Partner up for cumulative sets.  While your partner runs to the back door of the church and back, you’re doing the following, and planking in-between sets:

100 – Squats (What? More squats?)
150 – Star Jumps, Flying Squirrels, whatever you want to call them
150 – LBC (This turned out to be a lucky stroke of genius to give everyone a breather)
50- Burpees (No ones favorite)

Mosey to side of school where we get harassed by teachers on a regular basis.

Step Ladder BTTW.
Basically it’s BTTW, but you’re adding a derkin each time you walk your feet up.

15 degrees – 5 derkins
45 degrees – 5 derkins
As far up as you can go – 5 derkins

Those were a real #crowdpleaser!  Glad I could be of service!

Ladder
Perform each exercise the number of times indicated, then repeat either going up or down the ladder.  Ladder is 2,4,6,8,8,6,4,2.

Dips
Derkins
Step Ups

Hey, at least you didn’t have to do burpees again.

Mosey to back parking lot.

Native American Bear Crawls (NABC) x2
Pax bear crawls the full length of the pax while they are holding a plank.

Mosey back to start point.

Little bit of time left for Lady Mary, er, Mary.  Sorry been watching too many British TV shows.

15 – Flutters
15- Dolly

And we’re done!

Warm and Humid Moleskin

Great job by everyone out there this morning, not an easy workout.  Moderate  ≠ Easy.  I actually had more planned, but we ran out of time.  I know you’re all sad.

I was trying to find a theme for this backblast and thought of mountain sickness, and as you can see from the symptoms, we pretty much all had mild to moderate mountain sickness (if only going by our symptoms) by the end of this carnival of craziness.  If you’re saying “difficulty sleeping” doesn’t apply, you forget that Insomniac was there amongst us.

Shout out to Sensei who has the Palmetto 200 coming up!  Strong work out there this morning, I think you finished the ladder before everyone.

Welcome Kilowatt who was new to our AO!  Hope you’ll come back and I didn’t scare you off too bad.

Sorry Hacker it fell to you to have to turn around and come back immediately after finishing your bear crawl during the NABC.

Tough Skins (my former second FNG) is doing very well and has lost a lot of weight already. Good job out there brother, stay with it, it does get easier with time.  I can attest that it does come.

Late entry into the mud run is open and some golf thing is open as well.  I don’t play that silly sport, I play golf with Frisbees instead.

An honor to lead such a strong group of men and shout out anything I missed.  Thanks Insomniac for taking us out in style.

The last time I led at Peak back in the fall I had us doing the Indian (N.A.) bear crawls but instead of planks it was merkins while waiting. You cheated them out of the extra credit, strong group and they could have handled it. 🙂

DT…. Excellent Q! Well-planned, well-executed! Hair Band… Shut up! 🙂 DT is already a little crazy… He doesn’t need any help on making it harder!

Just playing… Of course… Except the part about making it harder… DT brought a nice dose of pain!

Way to push it out there. Great to have Kilowatt join us. Sid The Kid keeps bringing it, and Tough Skins was breathing hard! Before he knows it, he will be Q-ing!

Sensei, Geraldo and Good Hands keep feeling sorry for me and don’t want me to run alone! Great job to those guys for the Pre Run fellowship. All 3 keep getting stronger and faster!

Safe week everyone! Slim Fast

I knew I needed to add a second day to my Commitment on Saturdays. Bratwurst recommended Peak 51. I’m really glad he did. Plan to see ya’ll again when I get back from Chattanooga!

Really hated I missed this one…no excuses; fartsacked right through.

But DT and I talked about it: because he and I rarely post at the same time, if I would’ve show up with him on Q, we would’ve likely ripped a hole in the space-time continuum or something. You’re welcome.

That said, I owe you 10 burpees at your discretion, DT.

See y’all in the gloom soon.
