One man showed up for a pre… Scratch that Q showed up to run and lost his breath trying to catch Double E ( Bad idea on my part).

So my inspiration for my Q this week was CMPD. For those that do not know I will be taking the CMPD written and physical test next Saturday (prayers greatly appreciated). I figured I would go ahead and time myself for the physical fitness portion of the test and figured the PAX would enjoy as well. Thank you all for embarking on my practice run today!

CMPD Training:
2 Cones were placed approximately 100 feet apart. And a third cone placed off to the side. Idea is to have each member of the PAX run 6 laps around the two cones then head over to the third cone and complete 15 Merkins, 15 LBC’S, 20 Step Ups on the Curb. Repeat 15 Merkins, 15 LBC’S, 20 Step ups, and run six more laps then plank when done! May have been too many instructions and I apologize for that but everyone seemed to get it and off we went.
Once completed we move to the side of the school for some station work!

I decided that it was time for the PAX to get to enjoy the fresh air with a nice group run! Stop at the stop sign and do 20 Burpees OYO!
Once done line it up again! We are going back the same way we came. Indian Run back to shovel flag. Upon return 20 Burpees.
Lets Mosey to the Circle of Benches! Plank until all PAX arrive.
So the idea of this next workout was to have all 10 PAX run as well as doing some called exercises. One at a time a PAX member would run to the building across the parking lot while the rest do called exercises. Each man ran while the following 10 Exercises were called.

So when it was Countertops turn on the run I had called out Burpees as the called exercise. I saw the disappointment on his face and we all saw the what the heck I want more Burpees body language he had. So I decided while the next man ran I would call out Dolly’s for everyone but Countertop. Because he was so upset he would be doing some Burpees.
Once all members of the PAX had there shot to run it was time to mosey.
Mosey we did right to the sand volleyball court.
Bear crawl across the court and do 10 Burpees
Crab Walk back and do 10 more Burpees.
Mosey to the peninsulas.
Round 1:
Sprint to the second peninsula and do 20 LBC’S
Sprint back and do 10 Burpees! I believe this would make just about 100 Burpees for all the PAX.
Round Two:
Same concept except after this first sprint we did 20 Squats. After sprint back we did 20 Carolina Dry Docks

Warm Up:

In typical Turnpike Q fashion a quick appetizer (warm up) and straight on the the entree!
Line up at the Island. Each Member of the PAX will Crab Walk ten lines equaling ten parking spots and then complete 10 squats. Then we will Bear Crawl ten more spots and do 20 LBC’S.

Going back we will Lunge Walk ten lines do 10 Squats then Bear Crawl ten more and complete 20 LBC’S

Idea is or was for each team to reach 100 Merkins combined however an audible to 50 was much appreciated by the PAX!
P1 starts with 10 Merkins while P2 starts running on the track. Upon being caught P2 does 10 Merkins while P1 continues to run. Rinse and Repeat until each team completes 50 then Plank where we started.
Hoody gives us a 10 count so breathes could be caught!
Playground time. Only for a short time as Q saw Eleven’s in the near future!
Each PAX will do 20 Donkey Kicks on the swings, 20 Step Ups (10 Each Leg)’ and as many Pull Ups as you can. Plank upon completion!
Let’s Mosey over to the hills. If you can dodge a car you can dodge a ball. Was the thought going through my mind as we were switching sides as the cars came through.
When we reach the hills it was the final toll the PAX would have to pay!
Eleven’s were the price to pay! Start with 10 Flutters at the bottom and 1 Dolly at the top continue until ending with 1 Flutter Kick at the bottom and 10 Dolly’s on top! Some of the PAX were relieved when time ran out on us. I know some of us didn’t finish the Eleven’s but still a great workout by all!

It was a wet and rainy morning, oh wait no it wasn’t!! Is this going to be a dry workout for me today. Not use to that since every time I Q it seems to rain. Either way I was excited to lead the PAX for my first hour Q!

Over to the soccer field we go four a Turnpike original four corners:
Start at corner 1 with 20 Carolina Dry Docks, Sprint to each corner and add 10 Carolina Dry Docks ending with the fourth corner at 50. 140 Carolina Dry Docks is a great way to get us started. Plank when done.
Mosey over to the football practice field and partner up and each PAX grab a running rock. Only wish that Glass Joe was here for this one. A little Devin Hester’s with a twist!
Partner 1 starts with a 10 second head start with the rock while Partner 2 sprints after also with a rock. If caught P1 does 10 Merkins! 10 Seconds seemed to be a bit much. Let’s drop down to 5 seconds. Rinse and repeat until each partner has gone twice! When done put rocks back in the rock pile and let’s mosey.
Mosey over to the football field and it is time for some stairway to heaven!
