SOFAWIB: Cannon Call

3 members of the Pax fell for my “possibly donuts” trap and instead were presented with “possibly worse” in the form of a 3 mile Murph.

The Thang: Cannon Call
Run to Randwick (cannon entrance) and back for time (1.4 mi round trip).
Do 1/2 of a Murph (50 pullups/100 merkins/150 squats)
Run back to the cannon and back for time.
Do 2/2 of a Murph
If finished before the bell rings, start again.

NMM
Rolled in on two wheels just in time. Almost took out the horde of roving waifs known more commonly as FastTwitch as they were running to Locust. Consider that a warning shot brothers, stay south of 51.

Unless your BMI is lower than the interest rate, mileage goes up means reps are going down. I didn’t finish, but it looked like everyone else was well within range.
Still made time for Xs and Os as a tribute to my wounded site Q. Get better soon, Kirk.

Low numbers, low chatter, lots of fellowship, support, and hard work. Misery loves company, and you guys are the best.

Announcements
The #MetroRunClub syndrome is spreading south. Expect nothing but hills and running until sometime in October.
Thank you for the takeout, Hammer.

And thank you all for making SOFAWIB your choice for possibly donuts every Tuesday.

Thanks for the lead today, Sundancer, and the push & 2nd F on the opening run. Having jumped outta bed only minutes earlier due to an alarm app crash, I was a little sluggish starting.

Also, thanks to the pax for waiting on me to finish, #overtime, as I stubbornly finished the full sets of exercises (100/200/300) before setting off for the closing run.

YHC is planning to Q another Murph at Ascent/Olympus this Saturday, with modify down or up options. #shamelessplug Come get after it. (weight vest optional)

Hate to have missed out on this. Trying to get the foot X-rayed this afternoon. Hopefully nothing, but considering it hurts to walk, well…maybe a tad optimistic to assume nothing.

What’d you think of the 3-mile variant, HT?

Other than 50% more of one of my least favorite things, running, it actually wasn’t as bad as I expected. I could definitely tell the difference on the first set of pullups after the opening run, though. But, it’s a worthwhile addition (and goal to shave off 5-6 minutes to get under 45).

What part of the foot is hurting?

Outside of my left foot, kind of behind the ball of the foot where the pinky toe attaches. It hurts to walk, stand, pretty much anything with weight on it.

Ow. Neuroma, maybe? Good luck with the xray.

Ouch. Yeah, good luck with the xray/diagnosis and recovery.

You SOFA WIB Boys are welcome to make your way south of 51 whenever you want… If you can make it there. I’m pretty sure using Uber in your weinke to cover distance is against a rule somewhere.

Negative Ghostrider. After the last incident at Cedarwood, Sundancer and I can no longer go within 250 yards of the course. That takes out Arborteum View, so Rea is our only route to 51. And, the complimentary ankle bracelets they gave us means that crossing 51 takes us outside of our radius (radii?).

Knollwood is in play though. We almost went the week we wound up at Cedarwood – talked out of it – and you see how that turned out.
