WARMUP: Mile w/u and dynamic stretching
THE THANG: Ladder of 6,5,4,3,2,1,1 intervals with 2 min recovery (1 min for 1 min sets). Pace starting at HM to 10k and progressing faster down the ladder. Some nice rolling hills also added to the challenge. Weather was :thumbsup:
Kudos to everyone today, this was a big one and you guys crushed it! Well done BRR crew already back at it. It’s great to see iron sharpening iron – encouraged by Yall. Workouts like this are tough but they provide mental and physical toughness! Look forward to the next one.

These and many other questions plagued YHCs brain driving into Swole this morning, but by 5:31 all those concerns were behind me and it was off to the races. Day 1 of week 5 of the bells and bag program showed no mercy, but the PAX were game and the weather was merciful. Only question remaining was “how did low slow merkin become ‘slerkin’”???
WARMUP: SSH, IW, LSS, Swings etc… THE THANG: double cleans and switch hand swings started us off right.
Alternating sandbag emom with bag movements in the on minute and slerkins in the off minutes. 3 sets of hang clean and press, 3 sets of Counter Rotating Reverse Lunge, 3 sets of Dl-> Clean->Squat->Press. This one was all about the merkins

Gear Workouts…for Those Who Like Cardio, but Want to Stay in a 1 Sq. Yard Box

Week 4, Day 3 had an ample serving of pain in store with a fully body beatdown that the pax took in stride. Guest celebrity, Tuna, joined in the fun today as well. Though he said it was due to a horrific ankle injury, YHC thinks it’s really due to how cool Gear Workout dudes must look that he had to try it. With recent appearances by Beaver and Cottonmouth, maybe YHC is on to something? In any event, Tuna did well for a first-timer and suffered through a lot of unsolicited advice on KB form and technique…hopefully you’ll continue to join us. Solid mumblechatter helped ease the relentless attack provided by the weinke as we put Week 4 into the rearview.
