Round two was pass the ruck down the line, hold as long as you want, the last man calls up

Mosey back to the parking lot, that’s a wrap

NMM:

A couple of Larry Birds out there this morning on the corner work (Joker and Swiss Miss), strong work, really impressed with the pax’s focus on form this morning, YHC has been trying to work on it (work in progress for sure), good to see so many others doing the same.  Unfortunately Geraldo’s ruck touched the ground a few times which added a 5 boyo each time, thanks Geraldo for the extra burpees, you don’t see them in the write up since it wasn’t planned, just extra credit, kind of like Gerald wearing the ruck in the first place, and oh yeah doing the pre-run with Slim Fast and Good Hands, strong work guys.  Joker was helping to push others out there with the high fives on the corner work, thanks for that.  Drop Thrill was mumblechattering about the reps but keeping up all the same, strong work brother!  Frosty Paws, nice to meet you, can’t wait to see you again.  Despite a tough post at Devil’s Turn the previous day (thanks again Prohibition) Freedom was pushing it out there, yes you are 50, yes we respect you for getting at it!  Insomniac is always quiet and just goes after it, Tawny taking note and just getting in the pain box and pushing through, well done guys.  Didn’t get a chance to see Peeper’s work but given the sweat level at the COT am presuming it was pretty strong.  Always an honour to Q, feedback in the comments is always welcome, try to make myself a better Q.

Announcements:

New running workout Q’d by Slim Fast and Stumphugger Friday mornings, hard launch next week, tomorrow is a soft launch, it’s for everybody, especially if you don’t run or like to run.

Freedom was ambushed for the takeout and did a marvelous job as always, such a great way to refocus to go out into the day, thanks brother!

Strong Q today brother, 72 and humid just sucks, #kotters to Charlotte Summer in the gloom.

A nice sweaty morning and a major time psych when you called Mary just to have us get up and go somewhere else for more downpainment, nicely played.

That short .25 mile or less mosey is otherwise known as the “Hairband Mile” thanks to Zip-A-Dee and my dislike of running. That should get me out to the new running workout but alas I am site Q at Overdrive on Fridays and need to post there most of the time as we grow the Union County area. But we are always open for guest Q’s if you want to teach us some mechancics out in the sticks! #NotAsFarAsYouThink

I’m also not sure what to think about seeing Strange Brew 2 times in less than a week usually it’s twice a year. Although now I want to watch the movie Strange Brew that I have not seen in about 20 years. #TakeOffEhYouHoser

YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN STRANGE BREW?! It’s a classic!

Although that comes from my memory of it more as a teenager (Realizing it’s been way more than 20 years) so it may be a #CSAUP event to watch it, but do it anyway to say you have. Had a young Rick Moranis and um… The other guy. That is where Strange Brew’s twitter profile pic is from.

Notables from this morning…
1) Sweaty handshake from Geraldo upon my arrival. I guess that pre-workout run in high humidity can bring out some serious hand sweat. #slimed. Next time it’s an elbow-bump with you.
2) Hair band with the sleeveless shirt… Meathead boys would have been proud. But disappointed I didn’t see any Kaepernicking during the workout. Gotta show the guns some love.
3) Drop Thrill with a new punch buggy.
4) Goodhands with a wardrobe change between the pre-run and the workout. Impressive, but double the laundry?
5) Watching Geraldo’s ruck sack roll over his back and head when he did Carolina Dry Docks but forget to clip his waist belt.
6) Strange Brew saying “do as many pull ups as you can… then do two more.” And Strange Brew saying that “once is one” in response to a question as to whether 10 Dancing Chillcuts means 10 total or 10 per leg.

Great lead Brew… enjoyed it.

I have been around, but have missed bumping into you too. I need to get out to Boondocks to see you, Babyface and Ichabod. Great crew out there.

Thanks for pushing us today Brew, good Q and way to kick it up a notch.
Joker #Cobains for the sweaty handshake, fist bump would’ve been appropriate.
#RuckFail with missing the belt on the CCDs and drooping the ruck #BurpeePenalty.
Two days of burpees and Dancing Chilcuts #Ugh.

Brew thanks for pushing the crap out of me, brought me back to Byron’s paid (yes I used to pay to be beaten) boot camp where we did similar torture.

I’m not saying this out of pride but out of shock, but I’ve gotten along far enough now that I’ve usually got a little O2 to use on mumblechatter, especially early on.

Maybe the spirit of Zip has come to rest upon me in a small way. Anyway, I am part Irish, and we do like to talk. Just tell me to do burpees and I’ll shut up.

Great planning and great Q brother.

Brothers remember those who are grieving this weekend over their fallen family member, friend or comrade in arms. It’s not just a party weekend.
