No More Chicken Legs

 

The VSF was planted at CCHS as site Q Chelms hospitably welcomed 13 men to #F3Centurion. A brief disclaimer by YHC about his lack of professionalism was given and off we went.

The Thang

Run from the parking lot down the stadium road to Walsh. Off of Walsh we ducked into the back lot of the Hospice facility for COP.

  • SSHs x 20 IC
  • Mountain climbers x 20 IC
  • IWs x 20 IC
  • Merkins x 20 IC

Run from the back lot of the Hospice facility to Little, then turn back into the school lot, heading up to the front by the stone pile. Time to work the legs a bit.

Round 1

  • Low slow squat x 20 IC
  • Jumping lunges x 20 IC
  • Calf raises x 30 OYO
  • Side lunges x 10 each leg OYO
  • Run to picnic area and back

Round 2

  • Jump squat x 20 OYO
  • Ski jumps (up & back) x 10 OYO
  • Stop motion lunge walk
  • Run to picnic area and back

Round 3 (grab an exercise stone from the pile)

  • Deep squat x 20 IC
  • Good mornings x 20 OYO
  • Drop the stone; stop motion backwards lunge walk
  • Run to picnic area and back

Round 4 (still with the stone)

  • Deep squat with a hop at the top x 20 OYO
  • Side lunges x 10 each leg OYO; return the stone
  • Bear squats x 40 OYO
  • Run to picnic area and back

Round 5

  • Low slow squat x 20 IC
  • Globe jumps x 10 OYO
  • DWTS x 10 each leg IC
  • Run to picnic area and back to base

Circle up for Mary after some planking:

  • LBCs x 20 IC
  • Reverse crunches x 20 IC
  • Right elbow to left knee x 10 IC; flapjack x 10 IC
  • Butt raises x 15 IC

Finish off with some people’s chair along the retaining wall of the parking lot.

COT – solid takeout by Hops

Moleskine

Replicated, with some special Haze revisions, this workout from a TR-led Rebel Yell way back when Rebel Yell met at Polo Ridge as the early settlers in the move towards Union Co. Just like what probably occurred to the Pax during this workout, it didn’t seem like much at the time. But then the afternoon came and some soreness appeared. Then the next morning came and walking like Fred G. Sanford was the norm. Except for Maverick, who squats +300 lbs for a living, hopefully this one hits the Pax in much the same way.

Always a solid group of men at Centurion. They were even nice this morning, as YHC set himself up for ridicule for pulling out the bear squat, dancing with the stars (DWTS) and butt raises all in one workout. Should have called for monkey humpers to round it out…but it is a Catholic school so YHC refrained.

Not sure I understand eliminating Monkee Humpers but includng Butt Raises. Catholic church encourges large families so exercises that help when you get home (if married of course) are encouraged.

Also interesting that you now what brand of motorized chair to recommend – guess you have started shopping early.

Appreciate the push to maintain our high standards (and leaving out Jack Webb to 13 – I guess it was appropriate since it was focus on legs day).

Still say we need to name Boutique’s beard…he’s not so sure. On one of the runs, Teddy dusted everybody…so where was that on the other runs? #sandbagger
By the way, the stone I selected for the workout was shaped like the state of NC – I’m going to take it with me next week after we use above mentioned stones again.
Lastly, pretty sure Champagne and Madame paid some pax to post at The Brave this morning…
Good Q Haze – always well-organized and stealthily painful…pax will feel this one tonight and especially tomorrow morning

Looks like I missed a good one. I can’t recall ever posting when bear squats, dancing with the stars (DWTS), butt raises, or monkey humpers (unless those are that ankle-grabber move, after which you require counseling) were on the weinke…and…I’m ok with that.
