Preblast: Fast Twicheversary

We plan to celebrate our first full year of fast twitch tomorrow.

Time for the Mile.  Our celebration will start with a brief warmup followed by a timed mile – 4 laps around the track.   Goal is simple:  try to meet or beat your personal best time.   We’ll have a timer out there for those who do not have watches.   Of course you are welcome to be more creative.  Here are a few ideas to get started.  There will be a special prize for anyone who completes the Burpee Mile aka ‘Death by Burpees’:

We’ll also incorporate some other fond memories from the first year of Fast Twitch.  Requests are welcome.  Anyone up for a  “Cowboy Run”?

Skunkiversary tomorrow, too (the 2nd one); except our Weinke isn’t cribbed from NPR.

Let me know if there is also a special prize for the Naked Mile (from link) is an option for tomorrow. If so I’ll hit Skunk. The sun has been starting to come up before COT and there is some things we don’t need to see in the day light.

Lord have Mercy. BTW, here is to calling out Semi Gloss as he HC’d for Fast Twitch last night. Don’t think he knew it would be an ultra painful Twitcheversary.

Hello Twitchers — glad to see this one is still going strong… and thanks for the reminder about the burpee mile. The pax out here in Colorado thanks you in advance for that reminder.

I am looking forward to the celebration! I just picked up my BRR shoes, I am curious what I can do on the mile run? There lighten yellow, they must be fast.

Mile time for me to beat is 6:23 from high school. I am not sure if I was sandbagging (never much of a runner), but who would of guessed 20 years later I would get a chance to best it…stay tuned.

Although not a regular of FT, I am getting better That said, the hell I remember is the longest Indian run of my life and the IR hill sprints. Either way, between track and street it’s a beat down. Add in some merkens and Mary, a post that can’t be missed!

Peanut butter mile would be nice. Nice, thick, creamy, sticky peanut butter in between each lap.
