Gentle stroll in the gloom

Gentle stroll in the gloom

16 Sons of Ballantyne started the day by wandering in circles and laying around in the grass.  YHC was determined to bring Mary back to the workout having noted her absence at recent gatherings.  On call today was a straightforward core workout with endurance the key.

After mile, 25 Dolly for good measure.

Back to parking lot.

Moleskin:

– Unpleasant workout for the first timers. Little less bootcamp and a little more running than usual.  Sorry about that.

– Mighty Mite and Unfair very strong on the sprints – impressive.

– Mile times improved over last time – awesome work from Chipotle on this one!

– There seems to be continuing resistance to doing more than 30 Merkins.  Not sure why.  Will keep trying…

– Mighty Mite on Q next week.  Back to bootcamp!

I think this workout was designed to help prepare for the Bagpipe vs. Fast Twitch showdown at the end of the summer. The Boys of Loch Ballantyne will be ready!!

I can’t believe I missed this one. Sounds great! I was over at Fort Mill to greet an FNG. Next week I am there…

The Men of #F3FastTwitch absolutely crushed it this morning, covering 4.2 miles at a stupid pace. We did burpees as a recovery exercise…and we ate nails for breakfast. And we are hitting the greenway at 5:45 today for some extra work…because we are just amazing like that.

My guess is that, during the “challenge”, the Men of FT will be completing our 3rd or 4th round of Mary, waiting on the Sons of Ballantyne to finish up their run.

Times are looking pretty good for your one mile training race. Especially given the irregular “track” that you guys run on.
