The down side of living in Steele creek became evident today when YHC sat in traffic for 20 minutes. Apparently closing 485 to all traffic causes traffic jams at all hours of the day. Huge thanks to Mighty for getting the beat down started until YHC arrived 15 minutes late. 30 minutes of that weinke was more than enough,
During the pressing, snatching, and other sundries, the PAX enjoyed the dulcet tones of 80s rock hits, courtesy of pandora. Icky provided the music a 9/10 due to the inclusion of final countdown, can’t win them all i guess.

WARMUP: launch from PetSmart and mosey to Alloy parking lot then circle up:
x 11 SSH, IW, windmills Arm circles OYO, down dog, and runners stretch one burpee, x5 each one legged burpees
THE THANG: Some ideas are good. Some are bad. Some are not thought through. ✅
Mosey to coupon stash by Target, slalom the posts at HT. With 9 PAX it was perfect for 3 rounds of musical coupons:
4 PAX in the middle doing man makers (x10, x5, x5), 5 PAX bear crawl in a circle around the outside. When the inside group finishes, run to a block and the odd PAX out has to do burpees and sing a song for the next round. We learned @kirby has the voice of an angel and @midriff can get a crowd on their feet.
Mosey around the front of the stores stopping at every group of benches for 10 dips (x60 or 70 total). Next to Old Navy, pair up for 3 rounds of one partner doing wall ups while the other crawl bears then 10 hand release merkins and bear crawl back to the wall.
Head to the Blakeney playground for 3 rotations of x10 leg ups, LSS, and spider mans. Back to launch area and take the path behind PetSmart over the river and through the woods. Loop back around that neighborhood and return to launch.
MARY: 14 minutes of Mary by committee because we’re over achievers at da Vinci. Freddie Mercs, Dolly, V ups, dying 🪳, one legged burpees, H2H, Jlos, back scratchers, flutters.

COT: @midriff took us out with an important reflection on leadership and stepping up to be a positive impact, both in F3 and in the world around us.

Troop Olympus earns their juggling badges

Slow start with clean and press every 30 seconds, grind out 16 EMOM of clean, squat, press x2 both sides then 12 minutes of pushups and double clean and press. Then we were off the clock. Next up, kneeling wood chopper then for the badges we took the bells to the grass for foward and backward juggling. Merriment ensued as dropping a bell on the grass is for some reason very satisfying. Out of the blue @IckeShuffle starts doing double flips! WTH? Who tries and perfects double rotation kettlebell juggling? Very impressive. Johnny Cash made a surprise and welcome visit along with the required by the by-laws Husker Du song. MOLESKINE:
This workout program definitely seems to have more of a kettlebell sport feel to it than previous programs. The pentathlon is a good example of that. 4:00 is long enough that you have to take breaks, even with small bells. Since Mighty Mite doesn’t have small bells, he was stuck with 20s, which must have been miserable based on how bad the 16s were for me. Strong work by everyone to keep pushing on each set.

THE THANG: A true crowd pleaser, The Wood Chipper: one lap around the track, take a trip to the end of Woodfox, repeat. This one never seems to get easier.
