15 guys were either really tired this morning, or went to bed not knowing our CFP national champion. Notably, no proclaimed Clemson or Bama fans posted. Gummy proactively managed expectations yesterday listing his probability of posting as “doubtful.” YHC tossed out the notion yesterday that if Bama won, we’d head to 4MC, and if Clemson took the trophy, we’d be going somewhere new. In retrospect, no indication if we were taking the spread, or straight up, so technically we could have gone anywhere. The heisman winner sealed our fate with just over a minute left in regulation. 4MC it would be.

Rolled into SCMS to see an apparent rear-end collision between a large Ford SUV and a Toyota sedan. Didn’t see who parked first, so not sure if Pro pulled in tight, or if Haze backed in. Regardless, looked like one of these guys has some valet experience from a prior life.

The Thang:
Fast mosey to the base of Smokerise for some obligatory merkins/MCs. Onward to the 4way stop at Raintree/4MC.

Triple Nickel on 4MC. HR merkins at the bottom (stop sign down the left side of Raintree Ln), jump squats at the “top” (speed bump at the bottom of 4MC on the right side, down by the lake).

Plank up at the 4way til er’body got in. AYG out Raintree to Providence Rd and back. Lotsa chatter for a true AYG #justsayin

Single file Indian run 1.3mi back to campus with a jailbreak up Woodfox.

Moleskinny:
-Strong work from top to bottom today. Lots of Hokies up top. Not a new thing at FT, but noteworthy.
-TL ran away from everyone. Also nothing new to FT (or anywhere for that matter)
-Asked Gerber where he went to school, you know, for record keeping. He informed me he went to Carolina. Didn’t seem amused when I asked “which one?”
-great seeing Horsehead making the trek up from Wadesboro this AM. Hard to miss in his light up shoes.
-Sturnbridge Squad – Mermaid, Cain, Utah- looking strong today
-Ironsides making big strides in prep for his 1st half marathon this spring

The above mentioned tweet regarding parking is for #F3Anvil. Saturday parking for #F3TheRock may be at another location on campus due to time difference. Look for site Q’s to convey further info.

Strong Q Hairball. That hurt. Partly due to intestinal issues forcing an off route stop for relief. Almost 3 years in F3 and never once have carried TP to a workout. Well, the M bought me a fancy North Face Adventure series running jacket with zippered pockets. Had the foresight to pack some today, the only time an off-road stop was necessary. The periphery of the park down from the 4 way where we did the Nickel has several large pines that offer solid cover.

You know . . . Mermaid is basically a Splinter replica if you look closely. Am I right? Seems like the habits are a match as well.

I think I went to the bathroom during the indian run at some point, not exactly sure.

27 degrees and, as I’m sitting there in my luxury Corolla sedan, Pro comes barreling in with his windows down, blaring Spandau Ballet’s “True”…probably threw his head back to sing loudly the crescendo in the bridge of the song…proceeded to ram into my rear bumper. Hope his little karaoke solo was worth the $872 bill coming from my insurance adjuster.

Anyway, nice Q Hairball. The Triple Nickel sucked big time, almost broke my spirit.

Also, glad to know Gerber is a fellow Gamecock!

You heard the sound of my soul this morning, Haze. You may have smelt it at some point too. If that song had been playing, the entire neighborhood would have heard it. One of the best.

I didn’t notice your tercel parked in front of me. It’s just so small. You should consider keeping your hazard lights on when other cars are near by. Just saying. Have your adjuster call me. Chances are I recently took him out to lunch. You’ll be getting a report saying you backed into a pole a Walmart. My new job has perks.
