Olympus – The Question is the Answer

Olympus – The Question is the Answer

Date: 2026-03-14 AO: Olympus Q: Krzyzewski , PAX: Krzyzewski, The Worm, Schedule C, Mountain Momma, Toto, beaver, ickey_shuffle, Gapper FNGs: None COUNT: 8 An odd setting greeted the pax this morning – somewhat warm, but yet somewhat cold, a blinking light in the parking lot that gave strobe light vibes (thankfully no seizures ensued), and several Olympus stalwarts missing (including HC MARTA :anguished: – send a search party!). Nevertheless, the pax pressed onward and took on the latest week in this aquatic-inspired beatdown. The overarching theme was “heavy bells” and segments were heavy indeed. Mountain Momma did his best to help YHC interpret some of the exercises, but at one point we had to phone-a-friend (:tclap: to Toto) and reach out to the author to help us define “Front Rack Controlled Rotation.” YHC is still somewhat confused on that one, but the rest of the weinke proved delightfully formidable. Alas, cracking the code of the mystery playlist was not. Ickey nailed it in no more than two songs. YHC will go back to the lab and cook up something even more obscure for next week – don’t you worry. Excellent mumblechatter with The Worm regaling us of tales of near-death (prayers for your 2.0 to continue healing up) and new-life (thanks for the tip on the free trees – see for the link below). Great to see Gapper, Schedule C, and Beaver continue to come out and post regularly. Who knows, maybe YHC will be convinced to do the pre-ruck option at some point…we’ll see. In the meantime, let’s get into the recap… WARMUP: Swings (10x), prying squats, hi-pulls (5x e/s), synovial circles, one-handed swings (5x e/s), slingshots (7x e/w) THE THANG: 1) Pelosi Ladder 2) Double “Clusters” (2 sets) – Clean / squat / press (2x e/s) 3) :dolphin: Block A – Heavy (20 min) – Clean (4x) – Press (4x) – Squat (4x) – Snatch (4x) 4) :dolphin: Block B – Rotational (10 min) – Half kneeling halo (6x e/w) – Front racked controlled rotation (30 sec e/w) 5) :dolphin: Block C – Holds (~7 min; due to time) – Variety of OH/racked/suitcase holds 6) :dolphin: ‘Cell Block D’ – Heavy (5 min) – Heavy swings (10x) – Merkins (10x) MARY: Not today, lads ANNOUNCEMENTS: – THE PR:o:D – First Friday of the month – see Slack for details for April’s edition – :muscle: Q School (3/28) – following Olympus (or The Rock) at Calvary with a plan for an 0810 start and 0900 completion. – :pancakes: Second F Friday (4/10) – second Friday of the month at Stacks. Per Midriff, there’s a great F3 channel on Twitter/X posting content in this vein: x.com/F3MentalBattle
