16 men gathered in the January cold…Wait, that was 2 days ago…
16 men gathered in the refreshingly warm gloom this morning for their weekly Peak payment. YHC was the substi-Q for Tough Skins who was recovering from a bout with food poisoning. I figured with Joe Davis being 2 days out, we would take it easy on the legs, which means it was upper body day at the Peak. Announcements:
- Joe Davis on Saturday
- The Mouth has been challenged to raise $1k for a co-worker who has a child participating in the Special Olympics on 1/21. If Mouth gets $1k, he has to jump into Lake Norman. Contact him for more info.
Moleskin:
- Tough Skins, hope you are feeling better. We look forward to having you back at the Peak in a couple of weeks.
- Thanks as always to Booyah, Nomad and Slim Fast for the pre-run. My Thursday just does not feel complete without a Peak pre-run.
- Mouth, what can I say? Without you and Slim Fast, Jack Webb would not have been nearly as fun. I so appreciate the critique of my form, my count, and whatever other jabs were thrown in there. I will strive to improve on both the next time I Q.
- Welcome to Space Heater for coming out. Come back anytime.
- For those participating in Joe Davis on Saturday, good luck. Your legs were spared today at the expense of your upper arms, so go have a great race Saturday.
- Please chime in with anything I might have missed. As always, I love this crowd and it was an honor to lead.
