6 of the faithful made it out to start off their Wednesday right. Here is what we did:
Warm-up run to courtyard-like enclave beside main building/sanctuary.
Run to pavilion-like structure at the top of the hill and partner up with a suitable bench (they’re all the same, so this wasn’t a difficult choice)
10 single-leg squat (R)
10 single-leg squat (L)
Run to baby hill so as to enjoy the frosty grass
11s – burpees at top, jump squats at bottom
Run to northwestern parking lot for modified version of The Beast™. Run from one end of parking lot to the other stopping to perform 5 reps of stated exercise at each island (8 islands total). When finished, sprint back entire length of parking lot (approx. 200 yds.). Exercises performed: Merkins, CDD, Squats, LBC, Merkins (alternating wide-arm and diamond).
Run back to cars
Nice group this morning. Small numbers = more 2nd F.
Everyone seemed to be pushing themselves well and Mermaid (I think – we were all dressed about the same) led everybody. Temperature seemed somewhat balmy compared to Tuesday (no wind and the temp today was more than 2x that of Tuesday!), but extra layers and frosty air make the workout just that much harder – oxygen was in short supply.
F3Area51 goes to the movies this Friday with pre-game festivities at Vintners. Cash only for movie, bring extra cash to help reimburse expense of last Saturday’s convergence coffeteria.
Baracus is gauging interest in BRR participation. Talk to him if you are interested (in hanging out for 2 days with a bunch of sweaty guys in a van when not running 5-10 mile intervals up and down the best mountains NC has to offer).
