THE THANG: Pretty simple, hill repeats 3 times up and down through some of raintree’s favorite parts by Rising Meadow, Slim Fast hill aka raintree by the country club, ghost runner hill on 4 mile creek, and a gut checking finish on Windbluff by all minus YHC who was out of breath after 4 mile creek. Ladybugs

Date: 2025-04-08 AO: soccer Q: Orange Whip PAX: jrr_tolkien, Level10, BobbyFischer, Joshee10, Kellen Dargle, Orange Whip, Jose Varela, Christmas, Mile High, National Treasure, Phil Britto, King, Pearce, Tush 2.0 FNGs: None COUNT: 14 Two fun games – close again.
National Treasure had the goal of the game with an incredible header off of a Pearce corner. Heeeeee’s back…well hopefully because he had a knee tweak at the end that did not look good  it’s not Sunday soccer without NT out there so heal up soon!
He and Kellen were both on their defensive games as usual.
King played longer than usual.
One of my 2.0s came out and put on some good hustle, though not exactly a soccer player (like his dad)
He commented that he thought Mile High was 30 because he was so fast, called Phil “the wavy haired guy”, thought Christmas was the best player and asked why I yelled at Josh :joy: :joy: :joy:
On that note, we almost lost Josh again but he manned up and came back into the game and played great soccer…gotta feed the beast more passes!!! Love Josh’s passion that’s for sure.
Jose V, made a great defensive stop from my 30 yarder into the middle of the goal, too bad he was on my team :joy:  :face_holding_back_tears: 😥 :sob:
Fun day and tough ending with the injury. I’m out next week with Spring break and then we have Easter the following, so we have to get some HC’s going!

We can’t show up to “take care of ourselves” if we’re not gonna stretch and recover well. Let’s avoid injury (as best we can) so we can show up for those around us by taking the 2-4 minutes we need to stretch out and be sure we’re good for the next one.
Strong work this morning gents :muscle:

Wild horses, couldn’t drag me away (from this bad idea)

Date: 2025-04-07 AO: chubby-hubby Q: hoover PAX: turkey_leg, Spammer FNGs: None COUNT: 3 YHC decided the fat horse (clydesdale as some of you may call it) was running this morning. Having bumped into Spammer at the Teeter this weekend, and talking shop, he seemed keen to throw down some miles on the hills. Appreciate the :hardcommit:.
No other chatter on the Slack so looked like it was two for turrible hills. YHC came in hot on account of not being able to find car keys at 0507.
Spammer pulled ahead early on and about halfway through the run he and I crossed paths, it was at this point that I heard Turkey Leg was stomping around the hood. Sure enough Turkey Leg caught up with YHC a short while after.
All three of us gathered up for the pledge somewhere around 0610, then moseyed down to the parking lot for COT.
WARMUP: Run to Horsey. THE THANG: AMRAP loops MARY: nope ANNOUNCEMENTS: the usual COT: Spammer had the take-out
