Ball Players We Are Not

11 men showed up at #F3DayZero for some work and were treated to surprise reunion.  For the first time in a long time the original OGs were here with the millennial, new Qs.  Pleasantries were exchanged, hugs were given by Haze and insults were given by Radar to kick off the morning.

I received two separate text from pax that will remain anonymous making sure there would not be a lot of running.  Something about this or that.  #GettingOldSucks.  So the modification of the high intensity work out for the region was put in place for the unprepared.  #YourOnlyAsStrongAsYourSix.

What we did: Start with a warm up lap around the School track at a slow pace.  Circle up and do IW x 15, merkins x 10 and slow squat x10.  Partner up to complete 100 combined pull ups while the other partner planks.  One group had 150 since we were three.  Radar provided emotional support for Haze during his portion.  Radar in turn got defensive when Haze provided a meager come back.  By the end everyone was turning on each other pointing out weight and form.  The Pax completed mary lead by Hairball while my group stumbled to the finish line of our 150.

Now for the basketball main event.  Radar was nice enough to bring a basketball at the Q’s request.  I thought he would bring a real ball.  Instead he brought a ball “he won at Carowinds.” I question the “won” part after his display of shooting. The task was shoot a lap up, free throw and three pointer.  Each miss accumulated merkins.  The penalty for missing was 20 for missed lap up, 15 for free throw and 10 for three pointer.  The rest of the Pax did called Mary while the one guy displayed his skills.  Needless to say out of 11 of us we might have made four to five shots total.  #LotsOfMerkins  Everyone, YHC included, made fun of the guy that missed the layup until almost all of us missed the layup.  #TrickRims

After this miserable display of skill we mosed over to the rock pile where you and your partner picked a lifting rock.  Then we ran over to the shopping center for four corners in honor of the Tar Heels win last night.  At each corner you completed an exercise until the next group came to relieve you.  You carried one of Radar’s sandbags between the corners.  The called exercises were wide arm/diamond merkins, squat, merkins and curls with rock.  This took a little longer than anticipated.  We did one round.

Once we were completed with four corners we collected everyone at the bottom of Carswell and Bevington.  There we completed, most of us anyway, 7s.  Merkins at the top and squats at the bottom.  Run the hill up backwards, most of us anyway, and forward going down.  Dodging cars was thrown in as fun.

Radar kept complaining about time and it was time to do Mary.  I am good at ignoring and come to find out his watch was 19 minutes fast.  After completing most of 7s we collected our rocks and returned them to the school.

In true basketball form we went into overtime.  Time for redemption, kinda.  Everyone takes a free throw.  If you miss then you do 10 merkins.  Everyone missed the first round.  It was decided that we were not leaving until one shot was made.  Everyone missed the second round.  Finally the Mugsy Bogues of Area 51, Purple Haze, made the shot.  High fives all the way around and a lot of shame we circled up.

I am not sure what we learned today other than we probably all thought we were a little better at basketball than we are.  Very little running for my #F3FreeRange teammates.  BRR is only six months away.  Getting to be about that time to start training.  Not sure about the intensity part today but the fellowship was high.

Thanks for Hairball and Prohibition for letting me lead.  I’ll see you again in a few months.

Announcements: There were no announcements.

Thanks for the take out Haze.  Everyone enjoy your Easter weekend and enjoy your kid’s spring break.

Inaugural Stonehenge Q

So this was my first Q at Stonehenge.  It was about time I stopped freeloading.  I appreciate the opportunity to lead.  It appeared from Twitter that there was some #F3DayZero jealously.  Radar in particular really seemed to care.  He really is a warm teddy bear after you get past that extra tough exterior.

A request for Kettlebells was made the day before.  It appeared most of the Pax ignored the call or need to go out and buy one.  Luckily Lugie brought enough for everyone.

The 6:00 bell came and off we went towards the pond.  We stopped in the parking adjacent to the pond for a quick warm up.

Disclaimer was given and from what I saw several heeded the warning of “modify as needed.” A quick demonstration of the Prison Cell Merkin Burpee was shown.  I did some reading on the F3Nation.com site last night to find a few new exercises.  We did ten of these.  I would say it was a small success #changeishard.

From there we mosed down to the walkway where the pond loop and nature trail meet.  We counted off in threes.  Three rounds of pull ups x 12, kettelbell swings x 21 and one full loop around the pond .3 miles.  I borrowed this from a Crossfit exercise.  Congrats guys you are now all Crossfitters.  You must know walk around with your shirts off Metro style.  We did a pretty extensive plankorama while we waited on Haggis to perform perfect form #weallwanttobelikeHaggis.

From here we crossed over the bridge leaving the kettlebells to the base of the road in between the Bank Of America and Lance/Synder buildings.  Wanted to do a proper send off for Fire Hazard for leaving BofA.  Congrats on the new job.  7s were called going from the bottom of the street to the top of the hill where the bridge starts.  At the bottom do 180 degree jump squats.  At the top hand release merkins.  Do one jump squat to start followed by six hand release merkins.  With a twist.  I did not want everyone that missed out on the Haggis beatdown from yesterday of 130 burpees so at each building entrance going up and down you stopped to do five burpees.  Sneaky way of getting 120 burpees in if you did all six rounds.

Time was drawing near so we collected the six and mosed back over to the field by the pond.  We circled up and planked.  The instructions were either hold regular plank or elbow plank.  One Pax would do five merkins while everyone else held plank.  This continued until it came back around to where we started.

Last Mary exercise was Captain Thor.  Lots of groaning from the older Pax in the group.  #GrumpyOldMen.  To do Captain Thor you do one real sit up followed by four American Hammers.  You continue doubling the count so 2 sit ups followed by eight American Hammers.  We got to six sit ups and you guessed it twenty four American Hammers.

Collect the kettlebells and head back to the AO.  Time is up.

Moleskin: Not sure about Bean’s thinking.  It is too cold to wear shorts so he wears tights with no shorts but does not wear gloves.  Sneaky way of getting out of the exercises.

Outback must not like us because he flew out of the parking lot before BOM.  He was very spry on his merkins doing hand clap merkins.  Counting must be different in Kiwi land also.

Commish has some great rotation on his 180 degree jump squats.  #MustHaveBeenAGymnaist.

Cheddar learned how to use a kettlebell today.  Great job on the pull-ups.

It was good seeing Mic Check out at Stonehenge.  He is one of the founding fathers of Davinci so it is nice when he can make it back.

Teddy was neck and neck with Bean on the 7s.  He says he is getting back in shape but he seems already there.

Brisket, Tolken, Fire Hazard, Gumbo were working hard during the burpees while doing the 7s.

Gumbo is also one of the leaders in the miles and workout section on the website.  Nice work.  Fire Hazard may be leading the way with workouts.  Once that Achilles gets better you will be back at pounding the miles.

Frehley’s showed integrity by making sure he did all of his pull ups before moving on.

It was great having By Pass come out after a hiatus.  He worked hard despite not getting great instructions from the Q.

Lugie was a savior with his kettlebells.  It is great to have him back out and almost fully functioning after his labrum was injured.  Great work on the 7s.

Cable Guy continues to get stronger and stronger.  He quietly does work and never complains.  #LikeAMachine

Haggis continues to set the bar for perfect form and be a leader by calling out others.  He put a top five #F3TheBrave workout together yesterday.  I know my legs are still hurting.

Announcements: 5 year anniversary party March 5th.

Balrog sign up on signup genius to let the Qs to know how many to expect.

GoJenGo 5K 8:00 March 5th Southpark.  Double down opportunities.  Go to gojengo.org to sign up.

1k-10k merkin challenge starting March 1st.  Sign up to be accountable.

Last but not least March weight loss challenge.  If you do not make your weight goal you will be publicly flogged, I mean you have to do 200 burpees.

That is all.  Have a great day and thanks for coming out!

Covering new ground

18 men including an FNG gathered for my last Q as the site Q at #F3TheMaul on this fine Wednesday morning.  We mosed over to the parking lot on the side of the theater and COP was established.  A proper disclaimer was given since we had an FNG with us.  Welcome Ben!

COP: Slow merkin regular and wide arm x 20; Slow squat x 10.  Enough of that warm up stuff.

Everyone was asked to partner up based upon size.  We then mosed over across the street to the Thornhill neighborhood.  We worked our way down the murderhorn and up to the lifting rock pile next to the Thornhill clubhouse.  Each pair was instructed to pick a lifting rock.  Once this was done the instructions were given.  You and your partner had to carry your lifting rock to a series of pain stations.  The stops were made of every cross street between the rock pile and Back Ridge Rd.  That was a total of six stops.  At each stop one partner does curls x 20 and the other partner does merkins x 20.  Once at Back Ridge Rd you planked to wait on the six.  A series of right leg high/left arm high and flap jack while in plank.

We ran all the way to the end of the neighborhood so we had to get back.  So same deal on the return trip this time partner with the rock does squats x 10 and the partner without the rock does merkins x 20.  Stop at the rock pile once complete and wait on the six.  Plank while everyone finishes.

Mosey to the bottom of the Murderhorn where instructions were given.  With your partner you are doing catch me if you can.  The twist is the partner that is running has to run backwards up the Murderhorn while partner two does merkins x 10.  Stop at the stop sign and do a series of plank variations waiting on the six.

Mosey back across the street and line up facing the hill next to the theater.  Triple nickel.  We did five jump squats at the top and five hand release burpees at the bottom. Once again you had to run the hill backwards going up.  That would be just dumb running it backwards going down.

Time for seven minutes of mary.  Started in elbow plank for one minute.  Instructions were for each Pax to call out a mary exercise and lead it.  I believe we got through six more exercises.

Done!

Moleskin: It has been a honor and great learning experience being a site Q at #F3TheMaul over the past year or so.  I appreciate Madame and Mic Check for the opportunity to lead.  The Commish and Wingman have taken over the reigns and helped us come into the technological age with spreadsheets and online signups.

We had a great group today.  Some guys who have not been out in a while, some veterans, some Kotters and a FNG.  Pop tart came up with a great name for FNG Ben with Band Aids.  It was great having you out there and you came to the right place.  You will get nothing but support.  F3 has a wonderful way of making you feel accepted and wanting to be better in all facets of your life.

The intention was to be tough and not stop today.  I do not believe we have explored that part of Thornhill before.  It had a nice little incline when carrying a rock.  I knew my forearms were burning.  Some guys up front made it look easy.  I believe it was Squid and his partner.  Sorry it was dark and Cheddar and myself were near the back.

Running uphill is a challenge but running backwards is an equalizer.  I believe one guy ran into the curve.  Double challenge of running backwards and in the dark.

Announcements: Anne Springs picnic and hike this Saturday.

Balrog sign ups are active.  We need to know how many to plan for.  There should be no excuses unless you are out of town like me.  There are all mile options which means everyone can do it.  The 2nd F is the best part of this stuff.  No one gets left behind and there is no trophy for finishing first.

Don’t forget the F3 gala on March 5th.  I know ticket sales are brisk in our part of the world.  We need to represent since we were one of the first secondary sites to launch.

That is all.  Enjoy your day.

Ballantyne Village Tour

17 men got up this morning to the surprise that winter had returned.  Several were under dressed and a few were overdressed.  Mr. Bean had to borrow Fire Hazard’s Ms shaw to stay warm.

A quick disclaimer was given and the announcement that the mosey was the warm up.  No need to warm up this crew.  Better to jump right into it.  We mosed to the parking deck at Ballantyne Village since every time I go over to the Premier deck I seem to get us kicked out.

First exercise was suicides all the way to the top and back down.  You ran to the first level and back stopping to do five merkins while your feet were pressed against the wall.  Next you run to the next level and back down again stopping every time to do five merkins.  Once at the top you worked your way back down doing a suicide pyramid.

Catch the six and mosey over to the bottom of the first incline in the parking deck.  Here you partnered up based upon size.  Partner carry to the top stopping on the flat to switch.  To be fair the flat was only about twenty feet.  No one complained too much.  Once at the top run down the stairs back to the bottom of the ramps for plank while the Q pulled tie the shoe trick.

Rinse and repeat the partner carry this time stopping at the top once you complete your cycle. Plank while the six comes in.  While in plank we did six inches with one foot up and trying to hold out the opposite hand.  This was hard but some were successful.

Next round the Pax was asked to find a column that is at the top of the deck.  Each column is about three feet high.  Here we did twenty jump ups/pull ups.  Run to the bottom of the parking deck using the steps.

We mosed over to the bottom of the grass hill under the parking deck where five burpees at the bottom followed by five jump squats at the top were called three times.  Plank when you are done.

Mosey over to the stop sign by the cigar store.  The Pax were instructed that we were going to run counter clockwise around Ballantyne Village.  They were instructed to stop at every restaurant and do ten hand release merkins.  All and all there were nine stops depending on how was counting.

Mary while the six returned.  We did LBC, Freddie Mercury, six inches, American Hammer.

Mosey to the bottom of the hill where Ballantyne Commons and Ballantyne Village intersect.  The Pax were asked to lay on their stomachs and do AYG back to the AO when the signal was given.

Wait we have two minutes.  So in honor of Haggis who had to leave early we did two minutes of elbow plank.

Done.

Moleskin: Everyone gave great effort out there.  Ickey came because of the tease of carrying heavy things.  I’m not sure if Wing man counts but hopefully you got your fill.  Chippy ran hard this morning never stopping and not to mention showing up in no long sleeves.  Strong.

Wild Boar was a beast lugging me up during the partner carries.  Thanks for the send off.

Mighty Might is rounding into form for the Palmetto 200.  Hopefully he will get rid of the cough.  He had some crazy theory about what may be causing it but it seemed foolish to make any lifestyle changes.  Just look to Frehley’s as a beacon of inspiration.  Frehley’s at one point was doing one leg on the wall merkins.  Must be that youthful birthday glee.

Mr. Bean, Fire Hazard, Tolken and Tuck were pushing the pace today especailly during the suicides.  Tolken in particular seems inspired by the nomination to the #F3Calandistine SOBs.  They better watch out though because the team of Fire Hazard, Tuck, Mario and ? are looking strong.

Haggis I hope your tweak was only a tweak.  He is the smart one because he always listens to his body and knows when to push and when to hold back.

Wild Turkey and Madame were flying up during the partner carry.  Wild Turkey was fresh off a visit with Mickey Mouse and did not seem winded at all.  Special prayers to you Madame and your sister.  We hope you have a good visit.

Best of luck to Mighty Might on his travels out to the superbowl.  #GoPanthers

Outback continues to get faster.  There must be something to this diet thing and performance.

Luckily this time we did not need Van Pelt to save us from the parking deck police.  He continues to show up every workout and push hard.  Age means nothing and he is always in a great mood.

Soft pretzel was right behind the Tuck, Fire Hazard, Mr. Bean group during suicides.  He is sneaky fast.

Is it me or is Wing Man growing a grizzly Adams type beard.  Look up you young bucks.

Announcements: SOB/Indian Land trail hike at Anne Springs is coming up February 20th.

What are we doing

Ten men circled up in the parking lot of the greenway to decide what direction we were going since our captain of #F3DevilsTurn had 2.0 duty.

After a few seconds of discussion Haggis spoke up and said #TheDangerZone route since the hills happened last week.  I felt that was a great call thinking it would not be as bad.  But guess what there is a long hill on #TheDangerZone.  By the time we ran the distance up Rea towards the #TheDangerZone Mr. Brady had joined us as well as Zeiger.  I may have misspelled that but that is the best I can do.

On the way up to #TheDangerZone Haggis threw out a plan instead of just running distance.  Some of the Pax took to the idea and others set out at a tempo pace.  Those that choose the interval run did some Brat inspired exercises as best we could without Brat and then set off.  The idea Haggis had was run one mile followed by three minutes of recovery.  The first three sets was Haggis, Gumbo and myself.  Haggis put it out there that he was going for a six minute mile pace.

All and all at some point most of the pax joined in on the interval run.

Observations: The Mouth sandbags when he says he did not have a good run.  He looked fine to me.  Stone Cold despite getting over a cold was pushing hard and did not stop except to respect oncoming traffic (wise).  Hairball decided to set a blistering pace since he was doing just one lap of the #TheDangerZone.  He and Gerber were out front and they were not going to be caught.  Stump Hugger had another successful negotiation of the mud on Rea Rd.  Way to overcome those past demons.  Also great job running with Zeiger.  I know he is new to F3 but in a quick time has shown how strong he is on the runs.  Gerber is fast!  Long strides and quick turnover.  He is a great addition to Ultra team from Area 51 heading down for the Palmetto in March.  I have a feeling my team will not be seeing them much with Slim Fast, Dory, Sensei, Mermaid, Sacagawea and Mr. Brady.  Speaking of Mr. Brady he was getting it done.  In his usual Mr. Brady self came rolling in right after time to start was called.  He quickly caught up.  Despite recovering from an injury he continues to be a beast.  Gumbo took the challenge of all four miles.  He is getting stronger and never looks like he is in pain.  Strange Brew is just flat out faster.  I made the comment that one of the last times we did this section he came in after time because he wanted to get two full rotations.  This time no problem.  That is some serious shaving of time.  Great work.  Another example of pushing yourself and being around other men that push it makes a huge difference.  Lastly Haggis always takes the #RedPill.  I think he invented the #RedPill.  He is always thinking of a way to push his limits and be better.  A great example for all of us.  It goes without saying he is fast.

Announcements: Sign up for the Go Jen Go 5K.  March 5th at 8:00am at the symphony park in SouthPark.  Great course and family friendly event.  Incredible foundation that does a lot of work for people that need support and advocacy with cancer.  The link to sign up is at gojengo.org

Thanks for Honeybee’s leadership with #F3DevilsTurn

Enjoy your day and rest up for your next post.

Watch out for the ice!

With the preblast being sent out the day before and Hairball proclaiming #makefasttwitchgreatagain eleven men gathered for the show.  Two real men, Hairball and Turkey Leg, felt it was manlier to not wear tights.  The other nine cowered with their heads down in shame as we set out.  Purple Haze made a quick observation that Mr. Brady was only wearing tights. Yikes!

If the Pax read the preblast then they were aware of what we were doing.  If you did not then just like a pop quiz you are going to fail.

Off we went without any instructions other than to run your 5k pace.  There were five stops along the way at intersections along Hwy 51 as we ran towards the Arboretum.  At each stop we did a different exercise, IW x 5, Squat x 5, Merkin x 5 and the Burpee x 5.  At the second to last stop a quick halt as we encountered the dreaded “black ice” that meteorologist around the region have used to scare school systems into closing schools and jack up mile and bread sales.

Once we reached the intersection of Hwy 51 and Arboretum Way we mosed across down Arboretum Way where the Pax was asked to partner up based on difference in speed.  We had an odd number so Gerber, Hairball and Turkey Leg partnered up.  Not sure if they understood the whole “differing speeds” because they were crushing it.  It could have been a Q fail in my instructions as most things were frozen at this point.

Once we were paired up the idea was for one of the partners run down Arboretum Way while the other partner runs down Spring Ln.  You will meet somewhere in the middle along Bon Via Dr.  There you do five hand slap merkins and return the way you went.  You should arrive at the same time if you keep your 5k pace.  Once back at the beginning you do five hand release merkins.  Get up and do it all over again heading in the opposite direction.

We got a total of five circuits in.  The loop is .9 miles.  The run out and back was 1.1 miles each.

At the end of Strawberry Hill and Hwy 51 you were asked to run to the first speed bump after the parking lot and into the parking lot to finish at 6:15am!

Moleskin: We got somewhere between six and seven miles.  It was cold at the start but it did seem to warm up by the end.  I almost broke a sweat.  Almost.  Despite claims of going to McDonalds by Pro he declined, unless he went afterwards.  I cannot confirm that.

Hairball, Gerber and Turkey Leg were flying out there.  All stars.  Everyone gave solid effort.  Running at 17 degrees is not optimal for getting the most out of your run but I thought everyone pushed hard.  Margo, Fault Line, Haze and Ironsides are getting faster and faster.  I know Haze is still rounding into shape from the calf strain.

Mr. Brady was rocking the spandex.  I bet Mrs. Brady has a hard time controlling herself when he gets home from his workouts.

Alf and Prohibition continue to churn out the miles.  I am sure both are eagerly plotting their next marathon.  Kiawah is always nice in December boys!

It was honor to lead and thanks for playing along.  You ran a lot of miles this morning a great pace.

Announcements: New York City marathon lottery is closing sometime.  Check with Hairball.  He may or may not being doing it.

Fast Twitch Preblast 1/19/16

Here is the planning in the morning to avoid freezing our tails off!

Leave at 5:15 and head towards the Arboretum.  Run at a 5k pace with five stops on the way.  At each stop we will do a called exercise to wait on the six.  Once we arrive at the entrance to the McDonalds at the Arboretum we are going to start the workout.

We are going to cross Hwy 51 to Arboretum Way.  Here we will pair up based on speed.  The idea is to match two guys that are at differing speeds.  For example one of the faster guys will pair up with a slower pax.  You will set out in opposite directions one going down Arboretum Way and the other Spring Dr.  The pax going down Arboretum Way will turn right and the Spring Dr route will turn left.  Both should meet somewhere on Bon Rea Dr.  The loop is close to a mile.  Once you meet up do five hand slap merkins.  Return back to the start going the way you came and do five hand release merkins at the start point. Do it all over again until it is time to head back.  Everybody should get at least five laps in.  Each group should leave Arboretum Way no later than 6:05 to run the 1.1 miles back to the AO.

New Year’s Eve Eve

Young Love had a great idea of having a Wednesday convergence for New Year’s Eve Eve.  So the Pax of #F3Anvil #F3TheMaul and #F3DeathValley got together at 5:30am for pre pre festivities.

45 men showed up #51Counts for the fun.

5:30am came and off we went for some COP and instructions.  The Pax were told that we would break up into groups of three with myself, Commish and Semi Gloss doing his best Spackler impression.  Unfortunately Spackler’s son was positive for the flu and rather than exposing all of us to the potential of getting the flu he decided to sit this out.  Hopefully your son will feel better soon.

COP

Slow merking x 10

Mountain Climber x 20

IW x 10

Enough of that.  Everyone counts off and heads to their station.

Station One; Semi Glosses station.

Find a lifting rock.  Do a set of rock exercises i.e. curl, overhead press and squats.  After the set run to the light and back.  Three rounds doing 10, 20 and 30 each round.

Second station: Commish

Three sub-stations.  Station one was hairburners.  Station two was working on your six pack since it is beach weather lately.  Station three was dips and derkins x 20.

Third station: Frasier

The Beast with a twist.  There were seven stops.  The stops were the parking islands.  You run to the last island and do merkins x 10.  Run back to the start and plank while you wait on the six. Different variations of plank throughout.  We ran to all seven islands doing merkins x 10.  The last instruction was AYG to the last island and back.  The six turns around when the leaders come through.

One minute of Mary lead by Semi Gloss doing American Hammer x 20.

Done.

Observations: Convergences are great for energy and getting to mix it up.  I think everyone got to do something in their wheelhouse i.e. lifting, pushing, Mary, running.  Fletch seems to be great at all of them.

The weather was great as it never really did rain on us.

At my station some of us need to work on our plank form.  Lots of downward dog out there along with refusniks.  Everyone ran hard at my station.  The last group was stacked with speed.  Fletch, Joker, Turkey Leg, Hops, Prohibition, Header, Buttermaker were all leading the way during the run portion.

Sound off with other observations.

Announcements: No #F3Jevlar this Friday.  Everything except Mountain Goat is going off at the convergence at AG Middle School.

#F3Meathead is converging with #F3RebelYell tomorrow at the regular 5:30am time.

Thanks for the send off Young Love.

Enjoy your rainy day!

Busted Again

The preblast went out yesterday for the workout and to my surprise most everyone had read it.

For those that did not read it or pay attention the announcement was made again. 14 men were given their instructions and the gun went off signaling to go.

We ran down Ballantyne Commons Parkway to the Boyle Building deck.  It is .8 miles to the start of the deck.  Everything was done at your own pace which was meant to be a pace to challenge yourself.

Once at the deck you ran backwards up the incline stopping at the top of each deck to do five good form Haggis merkins.  Run the flat straight and repeat till you get to the top.  Once at the top and after performing your merkins you run to the opposite side stairs taking them to the bottom.  At the bottom you perform ten American Hammers.  Run to the Premiere Deck which is .2 miles away and repeat what was done at the Boyle Deck except this time do five hand release burpees.  This was to be done until 6:05 getting in as many laps as you can before returning back to the AO.

As fate would have it and we the luck of my Qs at the Brave we got kicked out of the deck.  Now I was not there for the conversation but evidentially the security guard was really concerned we may hurt ourselves.  Obviously he did not hear the disclaimer.

After we found Haggis we headed back early to the AO.  Once there we did some Mary, burpees and ran a little more dodging cars several times.

Moleskin: Too bad we got kicked out.  Last time was my fault for planning higher risk stuff.  This time we were safe and respectful.  The idea was to replicate some of the things they do at the Muthership by running backwards up the decks.  There is no replacement for the Dizzy.  I also wanted to mimic some of the mud run by going fast, stopping and then doing something fast again.

I think most everyone would have gotten three laps or more in.  Keeps this in mind because we will do this again.  We have a man among us that has the ear of the right people so hopefully we will get clearance soon.

Thanks to everyone for their donations to the Alexanders Youth Network Toy Drive.  These kids will really appreciate it.  If you have not donated then please bring a toy tomorrow to your favorite AO.

Announcements: Baxter Village race New Years Day at 10:00am.

Joe Davis Resolution Run

That is all! May the force be with you all today and this holiday season!
