Grover’s Monster Message

Grover’s Monster Message

Date: 2026-03-03 AO: Bagpipe Q: wildturkey , PAX: war_eagle, wildturkey, Roulette FNGs: None COUNT: 3 “Shhh! Listen to me. I am telling you, please do not turn the page! There is a Monster at the end of this workout!” The beatdown was structured to mimic Grover’s frantic attempts to stop the progress of time. We pushed through the “pages” (sets) only to find exactly what we were afraid of.

The Beast 6 rounds, 6 stations, 6 exercises Push-ups Lunges American Hammer Scorpion Carolina Dry Docks Squat jumps Batman Situps

THE COT (Circle of Trust) The Message: In the classic Sesame Street tale, Grover spends the entire book terrified of the monster on the last page. He ties knots, builds walls, and begs us to stop. When we finally reach the end, he realizes… the monster is just him. In our lives, the “monster” isn’t a competitor, a boss, or a bad break. The monster is: 1. Our Ego: Thinking we are too good for the basics or too proud to ask for help. 2. Our Lack of Faith: Doubting the strength we’ve already been given. 3. Our Lack of Confidence: Letting the “Grover” inside us scream that we aren’t ready for the next page. The Slaying of the Beast: You don’t kill this monster with a sword. You kill it with: – Discipline: Doing the work when the feelings aren’t there. – Service: Realizing that when you focus on the man next to you, your own “monster” loses its power.
MOLESKIN We turned the pages today, men. We found out that the only thing waiting for us at the end was a stronger, humbler version of ourselves. Don’t be afraid to finish the book.
