🧊 coffee > Popsicles

Date: 2025-07-25 AO: ufo-ultimatefriz Q: MARTA PAX: Crawdad, MARTA, Fruity Pebbles, Yeti, Victoria, Broken Arrow, Paris, Chandelier, Mayo, Pfeffer, Shank, Situation, smokey, sweeney_todd, David Baker, Mr Brady, gumnut, Peaches, Wario, Pink eye, biden, ikea FNGs: 1 ikea COUNT: 22 Lost, leaderless, and aloof, the PAX (F3 member, for those whom are new) trickled down to the pitch. When the lights finally illuminated the field, we were not only surprised to see @gumnut without a hat but also 22 players ready to leave victorious. Upon first count off forced upon us by the natural leader Fly With Me, the teams seemed somewhat even – the play on the field proved otherwise. Yellow went out to a quick 3-0 lead which they quickly lost to pink who evened the score at 3-3. After that Pink methodically built their lead that eventually reached 5 and never really fell below 3.
Despite playing soccer lines, the number of players prevented David Baker and @shank from their strengths roaming a full field. Traditional 20 yard gains or hucks we reduced to 10 yard gains causing Pink to methodically work the disc – to their disadvantage. To me, the high numbers and space complement my lack of commitment to defense well – to others the effect is less pleasing. Friday ultimate was meant for a zone defense.
For Yellow, Crawdad, Paris, and Chandelier dominated the short space in the endzone, while Mayo, Vicky, and Yeti controlled the game through the midfield. Despite strong performances, by Pink’s handlers – critical miss throws into traffic were commonplace. Heckles quickly ensued, though none remarkable enough to remember. An attempt by Pink to sabotage the game by cutting the lights (Smokey mysteriously left the field) – was to no avail. Yellow over Pink.
COT Welcome IKEA! Iced coffee and popsicles greeted those for 2F (social event) after the match. The iced coffee was decimated despite being delivered in a womanly colored and adorned cooler, while several popsicles remained – to the chagrin of a missing Fresh Meat.
Smokey takes us out after praying with Joust – double duty today.

Certainly gives a good perspective of the advantages of having fellow F3 brethren around when working out by yourself. It’s just not the same. Proverbs 27:17 Iron Sharpens Iron!!

Highway 61 Revisited

Date: 2025-07-24 AO: sparta Q: Orange Whip PAX: Orange Whip, Water Works, Gazette, Gazette FNGs: 1 Gazette COUNT: 3 Ductwork fell under the weather so I took Q duties this morning.
05:17 and it was just me in the lot and as I stated to go on a solo run Waterworks stepped out of his vehicle he was apparently waiting in – for what, im still not sure, and an FNG ran up saying he came by a few mins earlier and almost gave up on us.
Realizing quickly our FNG (Gazette) was a real runner, we headed to Weddington and ran the new highway on/off ramps before they officially open up (target date 2043).
Waterworks held on strong and I pretended to not be struggling to keep up with our new guy and we made it back with a total of 6 miles and COT’d with Peak 51 where 17 year old Catfish was leading a birthday Q.
Gazette was named, as Mall Cop commented that he looked like a Gazelle and the name of a female gazelle should be a Gazette – as he was too fast to get a cool name (See: Rachel, Rosie, etc) but a female is not called a Gazette but we do what we want here. Have fun explaining your name.
Great run and better 2nd F at Brakeman’s afterwards.
