Soggy Donuts

Soggy Donuts

The Donuts were not soggy but the Donut Run miles were soggy. 6 ran this morning (5 on the North course and 1 on the Jello course).

Some highlights:
1. The hill up Sharonview is delightful in the fact that it never ends.
2. Semi has some major gas issues.
3. Voodoo and Geraldo launched at 3:56am.
4. I believe we snuck up on Jello finishing his bathroom break on Rea.
5. Colony and Rea sidewalks need some major tree trimming. Could be a good service day opportunity for Agony’s church.
6. If Carmel CC (or Quail Hollow) is looking for a moderately bad golfer that can’t afford the initiation fee, then please contact Semi.

All in all, it was a good run and the new route was good.

Nice change of pace on the route this morning, Bushwood. It was good to get back to Donut Run after a few weeks hiatus. For the record, Geraldo and YHC left at 3:55. Who needs that extra minute of sleep?

Voodoo becoming a runner is the biggest surprise of FY17 in F3 (Horsey Monday and now Donut run on Wednesday).

It’s a matter of survival, ChelmsTot. BRR is coming. Good to see you on Monday.

We left early to avoid a shirtless Semi Gloss #BigHairy. Still feeling Horsey today. Thanks to Voodoo for hanging with me today.

Semi-Gloss (aka mini gloss the skinny runner), gas at a workout? I would never do that.

I got some satisfaction watching Semi almost die at the top of Sharon View. After his false alarm trip to the bushes, he basically sprinted up the hill only to find that Bushwood had not waited for him. Heartbroken, he stopped, then we limped along together the rest of the way. That route is going to be terrible in the reverse direction. The long climb up Colony will be bad, but the finish from the bottom of Sharon View to Olde Providence Elementary is rough.

Special shout out to Hopper who texted me last night about going to the Donut Run, made fun of me when I was noncommittal due to the rain, then didn’t show up himself.
