Did stuff in various parking lots along the way. Circuit and Starfish exercises at the school. FYI the track is still a death trap.

Calf Boobs

When Spammer rolled in after his 4:15am pre-run (whaaa??) and we saw how big his calves were (Superman level) Lex Luthor called them Calf Boobs.
I swear if they had a nipple you would try to milk them. “Yes barista, can I please have a calf milk latte? No not like a baby cow, like Spammers huge calves”. Just realized we call a baby cow and the back of our leg the same word. English is so freaking hard.
(Note, Superman and Lex Luthor reference was completely unplanned)
4 of us did the exact same workout I led last week. Run to Sportsplex, run 4 full fields with some hand touching the ground, run back home. 5 miles.
Great to see Baracus back out and he also got Graffiti to make it which was awesome. Geraldo had very sly way of un-clicking that HC button this morning but we all saw it. Maybe we can have Wingman make the HC permanent so you can’t un-click it?? #accountability
Temps were great. Not too cold. Lex was prepared for 30’s or maybe 20’s with his leg warmers.

It was great to have Zirconia out! It was a testament to the power of reaching out. @wingman reached out to the HawkDads (Hawk Ridge’s community of dads), Zirconia saw it, and came out. It’s just a reminder that if we want to grow this thing, we have to take ownership and reach out. Thanks for doing that @Wingman!

THE THANG: (Rucksack on the entire workout) A lot sandbag variations while keep the ruck sack on – 20 Merkins – 20 Swings – 20 Thrusters – 20 Powercleans – 12 Lunges – 20 High Pull – 20 Front Squats – 20 Power Clean + Explosive Press + Plus a lot more that I thought of on the spot 😉🦾
Even with our exercise, we completed 2 miles of rucking. This AO is impressive!

Swing away

THE THANG:
After a warmup of Swings ‘n Things (usual suspects interwoven with 10 swing sets), the PAX set out on an exciting journey through 2000s metal along with YHC. Many opinions were had about Pandora’s playlist, but she was unperturbed, and it was glorious.
We did 5 sets of alternating hand swings, where every three swings we completed a complimentary movement. In order we did Cleans, Clean and Press, Clean-Squat-Press, Swing Squats, and finally Snatches
We also did Porpoise Complex, stepping up from 1, to 2, then 3 Merkins between each KB movement.
Finally we tackled clean and park sets then Mary

Cinder Blocks and Poop Cups

Date: 2023-11-15 AO: wamrap Q: Orange Whip PAX: double_e, Alf, poptart, O Tannenbaum, rachel, Orange Whip FNGs: None COUNT: 6 Within 18 hours of mentioning we wanted cinder blocks back at WAMRAP, Alf had his Range Rover (AKA beater truck) loaded with 10 pristine new coupons for us to take up to the deck (He gets them for $1.93 a piece, you civilians will pay $2.25).
After staring at them for 2 solid minutes, the 6 of us decided to pick them up and carry them to their final resting place, the top of the parking deck.
After a lot of heavy breathing, most of us carrying 2 blocks, we were greeted at the top of the deck by a clear Big Gulp QT cup filled with poop. Yes you’re reading this correctly. This was after OT was bragging about how they just cleaned the deck. A fresh turd in a cup sitting at the top.
This is the magic of WAMRAP. The juxtaposition of the clean new blocks and filthy cup of dook really set the stage for our workout.
Since I petitioned for the new blocks it seemed as though I had to take the lead.

Rachel was the most grossed out by the cup. OT was a little too comfortable with it and some of us had a feeling he might be the culprit. Considering he works over there and he mentioned yesterday that he was at WAMRAP last night?! Hmmmm….
Lots of chatter as usual today, Pop Tart leading the charge. Great to see Double E back out. He’ll be doing a Turkey pickin in Picken, SC or something like that.
Rachel suggested making WAMRAP 1 hour next week in honor of Thanksgiving. Could be interesting. Could be terrible.
