THE THANG: Mosey to ball fields for Lunge walk suicides with LBCs/Merkins, back to the Y’s soccer fields for some brutal hill repeats with double squats, and Burpees. Over to the pavilion for dips, step ups and ultimate Merkins. Pax choice with @Rousey in savage mode finished us off with squat hit-its. Plan to not run much and take one wrong turn

Date: 2024-02-14 AO: davinci Q: C3P0 PAX: Palmolive, Odd Job, OMNICRON, Dickies FNGs: None COUNT: 5 WARMUP: easy run around “pond” behind PetsMart and down hazardous path to neighborhood and circle up for 15x SSH, IW, LSS, then plank and stretching leg up, behind, out all that good stuff with some downward dog and upward etc. THE THANG: Mosey another half-mile or so down trail stopping where we cross over large drainage pipes, a little more stretching via “old man burpees” (slow burpee to really loosen up all the parts involved) then some regular burpees and mosey to Polo Ridge school.
Turns out we missed the turn, and had an excursion through a lot of pricker bushy areas, more annoying than hazardous, but still take the right after the chain link fence and avoid that mess.
When we did get to the school, we had added nearly a full extra mile to the commute, eating up a lot of fun time planned. Alas, found some benches, and 2 rounds of 20x dip, step up, decline merkins. Stop by the playground with copious rung and rings for pull ups and do 10x negative pull-ups. Get comfortable on your six (in the not comfortable mulch) and do a mini web of big boys and merkins from 4-2 to 20-10. Running short on time, we did 5 more negative pull-ups and have to head back to COT MARY: just those big boys ANNOUNCEMENTS: probable convergence with Stonehendge next Saturday as majority of SOB is in Oak Island. COT: great day to get out, glad to push Dickie (sp?) a little, he’ll be going beast mode in no time. Really glad to have Omnicron back too and hope all the running (we got in 5K) didn’t iritate his ankle. Palm Olive was patient with me as I steered us off track and he lead us back to civilization. Good to see Odd Job again, it’s been forever and all of his running training just so can make us dinner next weekend, think I’ll buy him a beer or three.

Run to parking lot for a course of 50m laps: 1) lunges with partner passing rock 2) alternate bear crawl and walk with rock overhead 3) drop rock, partner wheel barrel walks 4) 25m burpee broad jumps, 25m sprint
Grab rock and return it home.
Mosey back to launch with some marry on the way, sprint up the hill to Einstein, finish with last 45 seconds holding plank.

Not a workout for gimps

Valentines day testosterone boost

Date: 2024-02-14 AO: sacs Q: Focker PAX: Cheese Curd, geraldo, Roulette, Starch, wildturkey, Lafleur, None FNGs: 1 None COUNT: 8 WARMUP: walked over to the benches for 28 step ups with rucks on. Followed by wall sit and ruck presses 14×2 THE THANG: Carrying our rucks and sandbags to Davie park, took the long way according to curd. Once we arrived to the turf field we lunged across half the field and sandbag tossed the other half. Each corner of the field was a called exercise with sandbag: deadlift, strait arm raise, bent over rows and overhead press. On the sidelines we put sandbag over right or left shoulder and quick shuffle to other end. Between goal lines sandbag toss to goal. 20 reps first round and then 15 for second round. My new “smartwatch” wouldnt connect to Bluetooth speaker. Thankfully for us my phone did so that we could listen to some dad rock and drown out curds various complaints!
