We kicked things off with leg swings, shuffles, karaoke, and butt kicks to shake off the icicles. :ice_cube::fire:
Then we unleashed the beast with our main event: – 5 Tarantulas + 5 Burpees :spider::boom: – Run 100m, 200m, 300m and 400m intervals, climbing up and racing back down to 100m! :chart_with_upwards_trend::checkered_flag:
But wait, there’s more! We hit the deck for a round of ab crushers to catch our breaths. :sweat_smile:
Next, we powered through 5 rounds of bear crawls and crawl bears, throwing down 5x reps each of merkins and toe taps like bosses. :bear::muscle:
Wrapped it all up with 2x rounds of 3-minute reg/side planks that would make a carpenter proud—rock-solid for minutes on end! :bricks::mantelpiece_clock:
Mad props to everyone for pushing through the cold with fiery spirits! Let’s keep this momentum as we march towards conquering more icy mornings! :fire::rocket:

perfect weather at hydra

6 braved the cold at Hydra with a 3+ mile loop run down Rea-Summerlin-Abbotswood-Windyrush-Rea with stops along for Mary’s, merkins, squats, and lunges, and some rock work at the church. Focker came in late but found us at our first stop. O’Tannenbaum jet_fuel Foghorn MARTA.

One mile warmup and returned to launch. Not sure who was assigned to Q this morning. THE THANG: The parking lot was still empty at 5:30 when returning from the warm up so went on a solo run through Matthews. Conversation was light and weather related. Logged about 6 miles total. Roulette came out in the wintery weather and got stronger in preparation for the Bragg event in March.

Operation Arctic Fox

* Warm-up: Mosey for a rolling warmup of SSH, Imperial Walkers, Arm Circles, Leg Circles and Windmills. * The Grind: A series of grueling running intervals, including: * Catch Me If You Can: A relentless game of chase, pushing the Pax to their limits. * Indian Runs: A brutal test of endurance and teamwork, with the 6 pushing the 1.
Lots of time for exercises including pushups, mountain climbers, flutter, box cutters and protractor
We got a 5k with all the running.

Woke up late, feeling great

To that end, 7 of us gathered in the semi-gloom at 0700, including two sight FNGs in Roulette and Starch. Those poor fellas thought they we taking the smart route posting the only workout in southland on holiday hours this AM, by the end of the workout I fear they were doubting their convictions.
WARMUP: SSH, IW, ST, Spider-Man Twists, Prying Squats, 3 sets of 10 swings. THE THANG: 1. 25 one hand swings each side w/ light bell 2. W/ heavy bell, 1 straight leg DL, 1 upright row, 1 upright row to overhead press, 1 Squat, X5 3. 60 switch hand swings 4. Repeat (2) but 4X 5. 5 SH swings, Clean, 3 presses, 1 snatch, switch sides, repeato… do all that 4X more 6. 20 two hand swings w/ Heavy Bell 7. 10 switch hand swings, 5 cleans ES, 4 presses ES, 3 Snatches ES… do that 2X more 8. 30 two hand swings w/ heavy bell 9. 5 one hand swings, 5 rack reverse lunges, switch sides, repeato… do it 4X more 10. Repeat (2) but 3X 11. Rack standing marches 10 ES 12. 10 swings, 10 Merkins, as many rounds as possible till 7:45
YHC had an idea of how he wanted the workout to go as he was driving in, but things took a bit of a life of their own once the work started. As such, I may not have perfect recall of events. Sounds off in the comments if I missed something, or if you’re just pissed at me in general, I know I am.
