Date: 2025-06-16 AO: chubby-hubby Q: Orange Whip PAX: turkey_leg, grasshopper, Horsehead, Orange Whip FNGs: None COUNT: 4 Whip and Horsehead went up and Turkey Leg and Grasshopper stayed down. This is not the intro of a furry-themed adult film, this was where we ran today.
And yes I just had a nap on the couch with a 1/2 cup of coffee.
Felt like crap today but we did it.

Modern Day Blacksmiths…

Date: 2025-06-14 AO: olympus Q: Krzyzewski PAX: high_tide, F3 Elsa FNGs: None COUNT: 3 A trio of pax chose discomfort this morning in an effort to get better. Luckily the weather gods smiled favorably upon the pax and while the humidity was present the air was clear. Under this backdrop, our small group entered a world of gains across a varied weinke full of snatches, cleans, presses, and squats. Great to have Elsa join us today. While he may or may not have thought this was a different AO, he eagerly jumped in once we informed him about what was about to go down at Olympus. Looking forward to seeing you join future gear workouts! Always awesome to have High Tide post and equally fantastic to have his guidance to help explain to Elsa how to do some of the wacky things we do with metallic spheres. All told, this was a great first step into the new spreadsheet. The Brave New World Showcase: Part 1

Date: 2025-06-13 AO: the-brave Q: tuck PAX: fire_hazard, midriff, frasier FNGs: None COUNT: 4 Where do I even begin. I know- l’ll start at the beginning.
It was raining harder than a Vietnamese monsoon. Lightning was striking all around Ballantyne with the force of Muay Thai elbow-knee combo. The thunder was deafening, pretty much the opposite of a super quiet Japanese ninja tuck jump. All of this resulted in pax like Franky and wingman avoiding The Brave like a Spanish matador evading a charging bull. As the reality of the situation sank in, I knew I had an Andes-sized mountain to climb to get the three pax that had posted on my side. Like a member of the King of England’s Royal Guard, I knew I had to put on a Brave face and do my duty, conditions and attendance be damned. Welcome to The Brave New World Showcase: Part 1.
The Thang
Run to 12 different countries, stopping at each for an exercise or two that reflects the culture and history of that country. You might be asking yourself, how did Tuck possibly distill the essence of an entire nation into one or two exercises? And how did he pull off that feat 12 times? Thanks for asking. Actually, it was easy. I simply abandoned my family and lived abroad for a year, stealthily embedding myself in towns and cities across the word, absorbing my surroundings and experiences like a :sponge: . When I eventually returned home, I could sense that my M was pissed. But fear not- after I showed her the weinke I had slowly crafted over the past year she looked me dead in the eye, cracked a smile, and said “You did it. You son of a b*tch, you did it.” :raised_hands: Here is how our world tour unfolded.
1) Ireland :flag-ie: (@ Nora Macs) – Mary Katherine Gallaghers – Celtic Warrior Training (sprint & backpedal back to start x 2) – no warmup prior to sprinting
2) Vietnam :flag-vn: (@ Be’s Noodles & Bahn Mi) – Vo Co Truyen Flow (low horse stance with palm strikes – Farmer’s Hustle (farmer carry your partner around the parking lot). fire_hazard was paired up with midriff and I was paired with frasier. Sometimes it pays to be in charge.
3) Italy :it: (@ Kozi Italian Street Food) – Roman Chariot Push (face partner and push him across with partner resisting)
4) Mexico :flag-mx: (@ Cabo Fish Taco) – Lucha Libre Agility (sprawls & hop to your feet) – Speed skaters (little known fact that speed skating is huge in some remote parts of Mexico)
5) Spain :flag-es: (@ Miro Spanish Grille) – Matador Moves (reverse lunges with arm flourish
6) China :cn: (@ Ten Seconds Chinese Noodles) – Shaolin Balance & Power (single leg crane stance with punches) – Low horse stance and punches – Eye contact encouraged – We debated the efficacy of my weak punches on a newborn baby
7) Japan :flag-jp: (@ Tsuki Japanese Steak House) – Sumo squats (obviously) – Ninja jumps with quiet landings
8) Greece :flag-gr: (@ Zeitouni Mediterranean Grill) – Greek Shield Lunges (forward lunges with front press) – Spartan Shield Core Stability (plank with shoulder taps)
9) Peru :flag-pe: (@ Viva Chicken) – Andean Power Climbs (mountain climbers)
10) Thailand :flag-th: (@ Bahn Thai) – Muay Thai Combos (jab-cross-elbow-knee) – Muay Thai Core & Clinch (imperial walker)
11) USA :us: (@ Midwood Smokehouse) – Merkins – American Hammer
12) England :flag-england: (@ British International School) – Wimbledon Footwork (fast feet & lateral shuffle) – Royal Guard Drills (high-knee march with arm swings)
Will there be a Part 2? If I can squeeze in another year abroad, you bet your @$$. -TUCK :facepunch:
