Date: 2025-03-07 AO: joust Q: ductwork PAX: hoover, hopper, spackles, Tuna, baracus, Header, Mr. Magoo, Limey, Day-Z FNGs: None COUNT: 10 10 men showed up for a “tight”-ly anticipated Runstopper beatdown with a sprinkling of hope for a Runstopper / Hoover partner carry thrown in for good measure.
Instead, 10 men got the pleasure of a beatdown from site-Q, Fast Twitch site-chaplain, and everyone’s favorite AC and heating repairman, Ductwork.
WARMUP: Stand around in the parking lot waiting for Runstopper. The closest we got was Mr. Magoo coming in hot.
THE THANG: head to the soccer field, two rounds of gassers across the field and two rounds of four corners. mosey over to the school with stops for squats at all the street lights. behind the school, a triple nickel (true crowd pleaser and time-killer) then up to the parking lot for some wall work.
MARY: we did some here and did some there, Spackler talked about Delta-9 seltzers. so yeah checked all those boxes.

Hot and Heavy

THE THANG: I promised hot, heavy, and 2nd F – but the pax were the ones who delivered!
I’m talking 3.46 miles, fitness trails, Loch Ness, some impromptu shuffling from certain pax (not YHC), enough mumble chatter to fill a week – this is what #scars is all about!
Glad we got to see some new sites and hit more distance than usual. It wasn’t always easy, but it was always worthwhile. Good work men.
We missed some of y’all this morning, but looking forward to seeing you next week (taggart, Roulette, wingman, and you reading this if you weren’t there)!

Olson twins or boyband?

PAX huddled in their cars waiting the Commish and pinnies arrived.
Pink went out to a strong 6-2 lead going up rapidly with the steady hands of barber, Yeti, and chubbs working it routinely down the field. It felt like the game was over and pink dropped their guard and maintained a 2 point deficit most of the game.
Aerial duels were a plenty with the defender winning more times than not from positioning or I’ll advised throws. Paris arrived late and immediately channeled his inner safety contributed a d for Pink. However, once pipes left the pitch, yellow asserted their postion and ultimately took a 13 – 10 lead with 6 minutes to go. It looked bleak so bleak that Haywoods decided the only path to victory was to decapitate shank to no avail. Pink struggle back with some free turnovers and mild effort. MARTA even tried to win an aerial duel with crawdad only to have him snap the disc away at the last second. There were calls for crawdad to show the disc to Marta, but he remained classy. A courtesy I would not have indulged.
Nonetheless, Pink tied the game 13 to 13 for extra time. After Yeti provided slumdog a waiver to be tardy today at CC, ultimate point was played only to have yellow methodically work thendisc down the field to win over Pink.
Welcome FNGs Mary Kate and Crumpets… two unsanctioned Ultimate players at their first f3 game. Friends since hs and through app state.. we almost went the Mary Kate and Ashley Olson twins but deferred. Due to their age, we should have gone the boy band route but alas.

Plugging Holes

Maybe Hippie and Frasier were apart of it?? All I know is FH reminded me a few times of the prerun….yes we all know!
THE THANG: the route was simple. Stonehenge prerun route (launching from a different sport) which is 3 miles. Here are the other things we did along the way
Stop 1 and 2 were similiar, merkins on the corners: 10x – Standard, wide, diamond and hand release merkins
Stop 1 was at the first stone monument and between merkins, we did 1 burpee at the top of the small hill, merkins 2 burpees, merkins 3 burpees, merkins and then 4 burpees.
Stop 2 across the street- again same merkins, but between we bear crawled, jog, bear crawl
We stopped for some Mary to catch our breath, but the next major stop was the fitness trail
True triple nickel: 5 pull ups, 5 sit ups, 5 bench squats x 5 rounds
Not moving to far and a true crowd pleaser. Catch me if you can- P1 backward runs to the bridge, p2 does 1 burpee, then switch. Keep backwards running, but then 2 burpees, then 3. Repto!
Really the last major stop was near the start, 2 rounds of 20 dip and 10 jump ups
Done… 4.19 miles!! For those of us that didn’t t prerun ….@firehazard

You know when the wing starts dragging his is whooped. I don’t think he ever finished the 3 burpees on round 2 :eyes:
Midrift took a piss and dropped a duce. I am not sure when he participated or not, but he was always present Franky also was always around, I think he did more than Midrift, but I think he ended on 8miles
Double mint not sure what happened, he dropped us early, never to be seen again. Hope he is ok!!
Oh, Frasier and Hippie got 12 miles! Well done!!!

Alf missed his first WAMRAP in….years? The rest of us didn’t know what to do so we planked it up – waiting for Horsehead who had HC’d to EE. McGee took us to the streets where we did 20’s of everything until we hurt everywhere.
No parking decks were used but it was still as hard as usual.
More plank happened at the end and McGee made everyone tell a story about their childhood. Actually, a good idea.
Apparently, McGee had the best 8th grade party of all time.
