19 PAX were on time at Watchtower for my vQ. I have to admit I was a little nervous and even did a mock run the morning before. Pulling up to Watchtower I realized I forgot my Weinke so I called an audible and created an entirely new playlist. The first audible would cause me to call the second audible……
The gripes and grumbles this morning were at an all-time high! I had a feeling some of the Pax would not like the change of pace but getting out of your comfort zone makes you grow and makes you stronger! I knew the bear crawl – crawl bear would be tough. At one point I was compared to Hollywood (I think by Doughboy) and I took that as a compliment!! I was so exhausted post workout I skipped right over the FNG (Lazy Boy) and was promptly reminded. Thanks for letting me Q.
Q School… I wasn’t really sure what I was in for but this was super helpful and know I can #post all day on GroupMe! Between myself and Dana, I’m not sure who wanted posting rights more.
I have a new respect for Money Ball and Posse. They are all in and it showed this morning as they thoroughly covered the do’s and dont’s of being a Q, good job guys!
The Warm Up:
Money Ball led super light jog around the island, I’m thinking is he injured or sick…not the case as I was shown later. Circle UP!!
-Pax took turn counting 5 SSH in cadence – Each Pax then picked an exercise to continue count practice. Brief talking and explanation in between as we were there to learn and not get smoked…but that’s coming.
Money Ball led Fast Jog (80-85%) around the front of the school, he’s back!! – Stopped to explain how to pick up “the 6”.
Partner up – P1 run around half-island, P2 dips -Total 50 dips (hey we are learning here, keep it light) Cont. Partner work – P1 run across the parking lot to curb and back, P2 stepups – Total 50 step-ups.
Cont. Mosey around the school to stairs. Jingles what’s next? Calf raises on each step, Alternate heels out, heels in, and heels straight…At the top run around the sidewalk to the beginning, rinse & repeat, twice.
Money Ball and his Triple Nickels….. 5 Burpees at bottom of the hill (you’re welcome), run uphill, 5 squats, run back down – Repeat 5x’s – Mary until the 6 caught up, Akbar and myself went hard and finished the TN, no Mary for us.
Mosey back towards start (Are we done? NO!) – 5 Star drill. At each of the 4 corners – 5 squats, in the center 5 speed skaters. I forgot the # of rounds.
Jail Break back for COT.
Q school was more than I expected. Not only did I learn a ton about Qing (Posse you were on it), got a solid workout (Thanks Money Ball) but I felt it was a good bonding experience with some of the Pax. Chunder, thanks for coming out today, it was fun trying to catch you!! I’m new to this group and want to think you all for your support.
