POSTED ON BEHALF OF RADAR:
So I started my VQ a little early to assess the AO and found it a little lacking with the track on holiday lockdown. My alarm was telling me that it was time to grab the PAX and mosey. I must have hit them with the shock and awe of my Christmas pjs because I didn’t get much of a response from my first command to mosey; or maybe they thought VQ meant easy day? We circled up for a rushed disclaimer and a little warm up that turned into a lot when I called on Bottle Cap to continue the mission while Posse and I got the technical components operational. We received the happy tones and we were set to attempt a Santa run with his sack. As a leader I wouldn’t expect the PAX to attempt anything I wasn’t ready to tackle so I took the first go at the dash to the front. #notasprinter #injuredlist It wasn’t pretty so I had the squad return for the Q and we gave it another go. I still didn’t quite like the results so we dropped the (dead body) sack and moved onto the bleachers while listening to a little Trans Siberian Orchestra. We regrouped at the snack shack, where I leaned on BC to take point and lead the team into some Mary while awaiting the 6.
Now that we’re all together and huddled around the sack, we dived into the Christmas revelry. I led off the pain with some heels to heaven in honor of that famous Christmas heel, Mr. Grinch. I heard a lot of moaning about how long the song was and someone crying out to Alexa to end their suffering. Then we planked up and cheered to Santa Claus is Coming to Town with some push ups and plank jacks. Next on the agenda was some slow Freddy Mercurys and LBC while Queen Thank(ed) God for Christmas.
After some push ups to John and Oko #notabeatle wishing us a Happy Christmas we moved on to squats and bomb jacks to Twisted Sister’s take on the classic Oh Come All Ye Faithful. PAX made comments about sacks, balls and the faithful coming but it was all mumblechatter. Posse reminded me not to go over time so we moseyed back to front while listening to Cheech explain Santa Claus to Chong. Sadly we missed some additional songs on the playlist; I was especially excited for Hello Dollys while listening to Mrs. Parton sing Jingle Bells.
We circled up for namarama and announcarama. Posse reminded us of the Joe Davis Run for Recovery. https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Ff3southcharlotte.com%2F2017%2F11%2F13%2F2018-joe-davis-run-for-recovery%2F&data=02%7C01%7CLou.Nali%40ccbcc.com%7C53df56b8c4ba42f1a4c308d546edd4a1%7Ca7ecaa8d48804bcd8c427d53d21b35bb%7C0%7C0%7C636492909654959204&sdata=o%2BGa2IveH9aPyyxozHD9mF2LyAe018ZozGdMDaHxCeU%3D&reserved=0
After a strong message from a keynote speaker a week ago, YHC had it on his heart to relay the message, albeit in a much different way to the PAX. Keni Thomas was a US Army Ranger in Operation Gothic Serpent, which was the mission in 1993 in Mogadishu depicted in the movie “Blackhawk Down.” While he recounted stories of that horrible night where the USA lost 19 soldiers, he spoke of some tenets of leadership he learned. Most importantly, “Leadership” is not about a title or a position but rather about stepping up with action right where you are at.
With that in mind, YHC wanted to honor Keni’s inspirational thoughts along with the 19 fallen soldiers during the workout. A shovel flag was planted at COP as well as in the field where PAX would gather later.

ANNOUNCEMENTS (Frack’s favorite):
Yet again at Impromptu a lot of new PAX (8) and old PAX (22 including a young-looking Recalculating in his newish “athletic fit” plaid shirt) took to the best AMRAP course this side of 12 Mile Creek. The weather was a little cooler which hopefully contributed to some better performances as well.
WARMUP
To get the PAX fired up for the day, we had a Motivational Speaker take us through warm-ups. Foley kicked us off with his VQ – Nice Job! He apparently had been preparing for days by the looks of the small pad of paper he brought with him for cue cards.
Mosey to front of middle school. Disclaimer given. SSH x 25, Merkin x 20. Mosey to the back of the high school for the action.
THE THANG

POSTED ON BEHALF OF JINGLES (IN THE QUEEN’S ENGLISH):
14 men gathered at the Weddington campus for an auspicious occasion, Jingles’ VQ. Wrestled with the original theme for the workout of “Life of a Six” or “View from the back of the pack” but with Posse’s encouragement went with Deck of Death.
Warm Up :
The Thang :
Proceed to cafeteria (ED. NOTE: Snack Shop) across the bridge by the track for a fun time playing cards. Took a small detour enroute to get in some air presses and Moroccan Night Clubs whilst doing the wall sit.
Card activities commenced (ED. NOTE: Began) with the following guidelines, cards were picked and face value of card denotes the number of reps.
Plank between sets whilst waiting for Q or until the PAX regrouped
With 8 minutes left and a few cards in the deck Ace of spades miraculously appeared at the top of the pile and PAX did 1 last lap before heading back to COT for some LBC and flutters in honor of BC – (note – dealer always wins)
Moleskine:
Pre run particpants Hollywood, Damascus, Goodfella surprised by an early Jingles setting up the main event.
The Watchtower PAX pushed for the attendance record with a 14 man turnout. I’m sure all were apprehensive about back to back VQ’s (well done Xerox). YHC normally arrives post disclaimer and so, much to the PAX surprise we started on time.
The usual musical interlude was not available but next time will try to have varied musical selection of differing tastes, Scottish tunes, reggae etc. Anyway, it all served to encourage some usual banter amongst the PAX.
Moneyball closed in prayer.
It has been an honor serving with this group for a while and was nervously excited when voluntold by Posse but could not say no (even though he Q jacked Foundation)
Great work by PAX today who are all now very fond of cards and will be off to Vegas soon
Announcements :

(EDITOR’S FINAL NOTE: AWESOME JOB TODAY BY JINGLES AND YESTERDAY BY XEROX ON THEIR VQs! WAY TO STEP UP FELLAS. KNOWING HOW I’M FEELING AND BY ALL THE TALK AMONGST THE PAX, EVERYBODY REALLY ENJOYED BOTH WORKOUTS. WELL DONE! FOR OTHER PAX WHO HAVE NOT Q’D YET, DON’T HESITATE TO VOLUNTEER. YOU WILL BE SURPRISED HOW MUCH YOU GET OUT OF IT . . . AND EVERYBODY IS THERE TO SUPPORT YOU . . . WITH SOME JABS ALONG THE WAY TO ENSURE YOU DON’T TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY.)
Posted on behalf of Recalculating:
26 old and new got out of bed this morning for a Prison Yard 80’s style beat down.
Warm up – disclaimer
The Thang –
Mosey to prison Yard#1 for the Pink Floyd (wall workout)
Rinse and Repeat at Prison Yard#2
Mosey to Prison Yard#3
Jail Break to cars….
Some mumble at the warm up regarding the music selection…and the very complex sequence of exercises -10 of this 20 of that…blah bla
All in all a good group that keeps getting stronger> glad to have the chance to lead today.
Welcome FNG’s

Doc on Q at Commitment – Saturday 6:30 Weddington HS
When Goodfella reached out last night, he was concerned about YHC’s ability to Q back-to-back days . . . And he was right. Combine the fact that YHC Q’d #Watchtower on Tuesday with YHC clown-carring with the ENTIRE Screech Owl Band (that’s right, Turtle was back), and the Weinke got a little warped.

Thank you Johnny Utah for the great takeout prayer
With this being Toast’s 13th birthday, YHC went with an old school Weinke influenced by Jason Voorhees. The hockey mask wasn’t used but YHC decided to dress in RED top and bottom.
Arriving in the gloom, it is tough to see who is catching onto the #RedFriday but noticed quite a bit throughout the workout. Nice work guys. Keep it rolling through the Summer (and further IMO) to honor the soldiers serving our great country.
WARMUP
Cue the boombox (for some actual decent music for a change). Mosey to front of school with some Karaoke, High Knees, and Butt Kickers mixed in. Circle up with a full, robust, and hearty Disclaimer given.
THE THANG
Mosey to the hill next to HS stairs for some 13s
Mosey to the FRESHLY CUT and WET middle school field where we found the teenage version of Jack Webb . . .
and then his cousin Jack Wabb showed up . . .
Recover and walk to other end of field so PAX could let blood back in the head. With all the PAX complaining about the grass, YHC thought it was only appropriate to go through the Tunnel of Love
Mosey back along path with quick stop for SSH x 13 Jailbreak to COT (nice work by the 2.0s running hard up front). The finishing move:

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Thanks to Goodfella for the BIG takeout. Never short on kind and gracious words.
Not sure if it’s Impromptu, the intrigue of an AMRAP challenge, the opportunity to wear Red on a Friday, or the strong EHing going on by the local PAX, but a lot of new PAX took to the best AMRAP course in the Cuthbertson school district. The nice weather surely wasn’t the draw as it was tough to even see the PAX through the thick air this morning. Cue the boombox (but no Amy Grant today).

Impressive effort by the PAX with the humidity being HORRIBLE; every PAX got at least 3 laps in. Nice work. It was great to have 8 new PAX taking on the AMRAP course including 2 new FNGs. Welcome Chunky Soup (Campbell the 2.0) and Rooney (Brian the Principal). At least one PAX was not happy about how “easy” we went with Rooney’s nickname (not calling anybody out though Longhorn). Solid effort by Brexit, OutOfOrder, Hooch, Longhorn, Toast, and Bookworm on their first time on the course. Great job by Dasher leading the way; couldn’t quite catch the course record although he does have the “warmup lap” excuse. Kudos to Rockwell for being the only 4-time PAX participant. YHC gave a pre-blast that should have got about 3 PAX to post on this thick and humid morning. Surprise, surprise . . . 12 PAX were in the parking lot when things kicked off. Apparently there are a lot of sadists Amy Grant fans . . . Cue the boombox!
WARMUP
THE THANG
Since this AO is so expansive, there are lots of areas to explore . . . or since we always explore this AO, let’s just keep it close to home. The Weinke was to discuss the life and times of Jack Webb’s extended family while using some kryptonite for my #TennisArms.
MOLESKINE
The PAX found out that Jack Webb and Amy Grant’s love child is VERY ugly. However, YHC noticed that the PAX were singing along to the last song. Some people call the last ab exercise the “J-Lo” but Jenny from the Block actually covered Amy Grant’s original version of this exercise. From now on, this exercise will be called the “Amy Grant” by YHC.
Good work by all today. Lots of complaining about the size of the rocks and the AYG Accordions so hopefully that meant the PAX got a good sweat.
