Old Site Q Returns

19 PAX, no FNGs, decided to climb #F3Peak51 on this hot and humid morning for their DownPAINment and once properly disclaimed, we got down to work.

The Thang:

Mosey around the church parking log and circle up in the lower parking lot for COP.

COP:

Partner up, Partner 1 runs  a lap around the parking lot while Partner 2 does called exercise, flapjack. 3 rounds, Flutter Kicks, Carolina Dry Docks, and LBCs.

Mosey  to the track, staying with you partner, run in opposite directions, when you meet up, 10 hand slap merkins, and continue until you meet again, 10 hand slap merkins. Plank for the six, then repeato.

Head over to the hill behind the baseball field for Jacob’s ladder, 1 merkin at the bottom, 6 squats at the top.

YHC noticed we still had some time left, so let’s circle up for our dear old friend Jack Webb, up to five and back down.

Mary:

  • Flutter x 15
  • Rosalita x 15
  • LBCs x 15
  • Heels to Heaven x 15

Moleskinny:

  • Great work by the PAX today, the Peak 51 regulars never disappoint, always put in the effort and plenty of 2nd F to go around.
  • I might be biased as a former Site Q but Peak 51 is an awesome AO. We can cover  a bit of ground while not leaving the AO, we covered 1.8 miles per Slimfast’s GPS as YHC’s watch stopped in the middle of the workout.
  • Slimfast not only did the pre-run with YHC, Nomad, and Benny, but he he pre-ran the pre-run. #RunningMachine
  • Benny’s put some serious mileage in this week posting at Horsey McHorseArse, Fast Twitch, Donut Run, and pre-running today, great job.
  • Shake N’ Bake was  a leading the way on the partner loops around the parking lot #LarryBird.
  • Nice to meet Elizabeth today, who’s been back from injury and training for a 5K in September.
  • Jack Webb always brings a smile to the faces of the PAX, you’re welcome.
  • Thanks to Slimfast for taking us out.
  • Thanks to Sensei and Lois for the opportunity to lead, it was an honor and please sound off with any #mumblechatter.

Mary:

  • Flutter x 15
  • Rosalita x 15
  • Dolly’s  x 15
  • LBCs x 15
  • Windmill x 15 (sort of)

Moleskinny:

  • Great group today, a large AO with a lot of opportunities. After looking through some recent #Bagpipe backblasts YHC wanted to try something different, no parking deck and no Loch Ness. The Gopher is a #Death Valley favorite so YHC thought we’d give it a try. It’s a good one to keep the PAX moving, partner work, and some PT.
  • YHC almost missed the workout due not setting the alarm last night. Thankfully due to F3, we walk up OYO.
  • Pleasant surprise seeing Snoopy from A51 posting the Bagpipe AO for the first time because he missed his Monday workout, nice job out there.
  • Mario and Mermaid were crushing it out front, no surprise there, #LarryBirds.
  • Frehley AKA “Tiger Rag” had another late night, not because of vodka this time but due to having to land in Greensboro and then drove a rental back to Charlotte.
  • When we partnered up by speed, Morning After got the short end of the stick getting partnered with YHC, a #Clydesdale. Strong work out there brother.
  • Good seeing Hula Girl out there again for his 3rd post, I think he’s hooked.
  • When we arrived from Mary there were some drive-bys from the Swift PAX.
  • When called do do Mary Cadance Outback stopped at 5 Windmills, when YHC continued the exercise, the PAX was having nothing of it, #Mutiny.
  • Great meeting Haggis’ brother Doubtfire at COT from across the Pond.
  • Thanks to Bucky for the opportunity to lead, it was an honor and please sound off with any #mumblechatter.

Moleskin:

  • This was the first time YHC as posted to this workout and I’ve only been to the AO handful of times. It is a large AO and YHC wanted to explore outside of Stonecrest.
  • YHC had to audible the partner work at the church fountain and increase the reps, #Cobains shorting the PAX on merkins.
  • Hope the PAX got their monies worth mixing in running and exercises. The weinke looks short but we covered 2.7 miles today.
  • TCLAPs Paper Jam and Goonie on the pre-run. PJ is becoming a runner and Goonie is gearing up for his first BRR, great job.
  • #Cobains for the crossing of Ballantyne parkway, as one of the PAX noted, hesitation is the cause of the dead squirrels on the road.
  • Plenty of #Larry Birds this morning, Bucky, Goonie, and Doc McStuffins to name a few.
  • Great thing about posting to a workout the first time is meeting PAX you’ve only read in backblasts for the first time.
  • As much has he asked, YHC ignored Haze’s pleas to hit Murderhorn, you’re welcome.
  • Solid work by the PAX, it was an honor to lead.

  • Great effort by the PAX, the Stonehenge crowd never disappoints.
  • The MARSOC Short Card is always a good one, plenty of exercises to get a good workout YHC needed a printed Weinke to remember them all yet I still forgot the Russian Twists added them to Mary so we wouldn’t miss out. YHC halved the reps for each exercises and added running to mix it up.
  • There was some question on the Cherry Picker form, maybe they were Cotton Pickers, oh well.
  • We got somewhere between 3.3 an 3.5 miles in today depending on the GPS satellite.
  • Admittedly, YHC is not as familiar with the AO as I should be and should post more often because it is expansive with a lot of opportunities for the Q. Thanks to my navigators this AM.
  • It’s been some time since YHC had been to Stonehenge and it was great to meet some new PAX like Carmen Sandiego, Tag Along, Shrink Wrap.
  • Good to see Mr. Bean back out there again and his beard is coming along. He and MT shared some beard grooming secrets at Coffeteria,
  • Mr. Bean didn’t disappoint in the #MumbleChatter, from YHC’s merkin from at COP to his burpee form, he always keeps it lively.
  • Wild Turkey is beast mode with pre-run and the workout.
  • Haggis and Frasier out friend on the laps, no surprise there, they were crushing it.
  • Welcome Overnight from @F3LexSC in town with his son for the NASCAR experience, glad you were able to join us.

  • Semi Gloss opted out of  he Donut Run after tackling the LC at Fast Twitch and is getting faster.
  • Semi Gloss heckled some Donut Runners on his way in to Death Valley, we did no see any on the way to Raintree.
  • Floor Slapper was on time, his alarm clock must be off.
  • Dollywood is fast, YHC could hear him coming up Rising Meadow in spite of a head start. He should start thinking about the BRR, no pressure.

  • Booyah reached out to me yesterday asking if I could swap Q dates with Twitterless Fireman Ed since he had some pro-days to visit to scout draft prospects for our beloved Jets. No problem, Fireman Ed we need  QB, DB, OL, and an Edge Rusher.
  • I rolled into the parking lot not knowing how many PAX would brave the the 20sh degree temps. Thanks to those who ignored the #Fartsack. Slimfast, Sensei and myself were reminiscing the time only 4 of us showed for a Peak 51 workout with the temps in the single digits, but that was in February.
  • The intent was to keep us moving and warm. YHC wanted to explore the Greenway more than usual with the Peak 51 PAX. We warmed up pretty well in the end, not too cold after all.
  • Sensei duly noted that we passed the turn to his house on Clearbrook, we passed Dora’s too.
  • Always good catching up with Smokey.
  • YHC loves coming to Peak 51 and enjoys the PAX greatly. Lois, Tweetsie, and Cocktail you guys keep it up, love your spirit.
  • Sheldon (War Baby) had a successful VQ at Death Valley from what I hear.
  • Slimfast (War Daddy) turned the clock back today and is 23 years old.
  • Thanks to Slimfast for taking us out today.

  • Dolly’s x 20

Done, or maybe not, YHC had called time based upon his watch, which was showing 45 minutes had passed, but was quite surprised when I noticed that we still had 7 minutes left. YHC was perplexed, Garmin can’t be wrong, what’s going on here?  Oh well, as the Lenny Kravitz song says “It ain’ over till it’s over”, and YHC wants the PAX to get their monies worth, so here we go.

  • Merkins x 10 IC
  • Windmills x 10  IC
  • Go grab a piece of wall for the People’s Chair AKA “The Semi Gloss”. Smokey called for arm raises and YHC obliged, 2 rounds, 75 and then 100.
  • Smokey then called for BTW, he’s really quite the giver, and so YHC obliged.Done!

Moleskin:

  • Great effort by the PAX t today, the Peak 51 crew never disappoints and YHC is humbled to lead.
  • So after some investigation, Slim Fast identified the issue with YHC’s watch, which was that I had started an activity last night that was disrupted and I never reset the watch before Peak 51. While were were in COP, I couldn’t believe how fast time was going by, maybe we were having too much fun. #Cobains for the watch fail.
  • Dumpster Fire was the #LarryBird the entire workout, well done. He continues to push himself, and I’m amazed at how far he’s come since his first post at Peak 51.
  • The #Gopher is a real crowd pleaser and while it makes for a short #Weinke, it’s a great way to mix cardio and some PT. We completed about 2 miles this morning.
  • Welcome FNG Benny, EH’d by Early bird who seems to be bringing and FNG every week.Benny is from NJ and aptly named by fellow NJ native Snoopy.
  • Thank you to Smokey for taking us out, our prayers are with Huggie Bear and his family.

Moleskin:

  • Great effort by the PAX truly an honor to lead the group today.
  • YHC arrived early to setup some cones on the field in case there weren’t any yard lines only to encounter a runner on the track. Naturally YHC thought it might be a rogue RFYL’er and had BRR flashbacks from hearing footsteps in the dark. Turns out it was Joker working off some DQ      Calories from the night before.
  • It was apparently too cold for Dollywood as he sat in his truck with the engine running waiting fir the workout to start.
  • Dollywood called it when he said we’d know when all the PAX had arrived once Smokey and Floor Slapper came in hot.
  • Some grumblings about the 8 count bodybuilders . You’re welcome.
  • Good to see Slim Fast at DV today, said he needs some more dips after all that running. I thought he may have mixed up his days and meant to post to MTN Goat. He also did a pre-run in Matthews and still made it to DV.
  • Wouldn’t be a workout without some unearthly noise emanating from Puddin Pop’s six, He assured us the wind was blowing the other way.
  • Ark Loader was a change of pace. YHC apparently needs to work on my duck walk form, not getting low enough as per SF. Looked more like a prison squat walk.
  • Joker wants an AKA Jack Reacer, not sure the source there.
  • Heads up to the Qs at SCMS, a bus has come through the parking lot at Base Camp and Death Valley right around Mary, must be new with the school year.
  • Has Semi Gloss retired?
  • Thanks for taking us out Puddin Pop.
  • Thanks to Dollywood and Semi Gloss for opportunity to lead and please sound off with any mumble chatter.

Moleskin:

  • Great effort by the PAX today, truly an honor to lead the group today. YHC does not get out to SOB land very often, but I’ve really enjoyed when I can. An expansive AO with a lot of opportunities. YHC wanted to cover some ground, 3.5sh miles, and get some parking garage work in.
  • A lot of mumble chatter from the #ChattyCathys, plenty of #2ndF going on.
  • Thanks to Fire Hazard for pointing YHC in the right direction at times and for Q-jacking during Jack Webb .
  • Fahvre is a fast dude.
  • Mr. Bean was in fine form today, and came in hot. He didn’t seem pleased with the parking garage choice however.
  • Paper Jam caught some flak for choosing the benches over the fountain during circuit work.
  • TCAPs to Goonie, 777, and Cheddar for double-down with Stonehenge and Da Vinci
  • Nice to see MT relaxed and back from his sabbatical.
  • Thank you to Paper Jame for taking us out.
  • Thanks to JRR Tolkien and Wild Turkey for opportunity to lead and please sound off with any mumble chatter.
