Steinbrenner Thang:  Moving Day…

  • Warm up in the Parking Lot with 20 SSHs and 15 Merkins
  • Mosey down Camilla and Thornridge to hill at Broad Hollow Drive
  • Back-and-forth’s up and down the hill; 10 Burpees at one end, Jump Squats at the other.  Repeat 5X.  Plank and catch-up.
  • Mosey up to Sharon View and down to Rashard’s rental house on Flintwood Lane
  • 25 LBCs and 20 Dollys in the driveway
  • Everyone select a box/rake/scooter/bike from Rashard’s Uhaul and/or Carport.  Mosey back .6 miles to his new house on Thornridge. 
  • Moesy back to Carmel Park.
  • (FoD takeover)….
  • Partner Planked Derkins: 10, 15, 20 each partner
  • 25 Partner-assisted leg raises  (Fire Mary per Hops)
  • Partner Planked Derkins: 5, 10, 15 each partner
  • 20 Partner-assisted leg raises (ditto question n the term)
  • Karaoke’s up and down the football field
  • Run backwards one length of the field; alternate bearcrawl and lunge the return trip
  • Mosey to parking lot and COP.

 

Moleskin:

  • The PAX started off with some strong laughter after Steinbrenner’s counting problems  (doesn’t everyone know how to do SSHs?  Why was the lack of counting so humorous?) 
  • Apparently changing your counting tone to keep everyone guessing was frowned upon.  Simba and Hannibal said there were several false stops on Merkins, though I believe that was just laziness creeping in.  In response, Steinbrenner ran completely away from the mockers as we stated the mosey down Carmel.
  • The return to Dark Bushwood Hill was a crowd favorite.  By that of course we mean the laughing stopped.  Thanks to Skywalker for bringing the sole needed headlamp.
  • Moving Day continued with something different to start the DMZ week:  Rashard was in the middle of a house move that started this past weekend and is still in process.  For part of the run, there were a lot of liquor boxes with books and clothes for the PAX to carry from rental house to new house.  Rakes and shovels as well.  FOD cheated by claiming some 2.0’s bike, and Runstopper liked the Mode of Transportation approach and took a razor scooter.
  • I can only imagine the reaction of the few drivers we passed on Sharon View as they looked at the motley crew carrying various implements and boxes along the road back to Rashard’s new house on Thornridge.

Run to Carmel for 5 Burpees, then SSH x30, Squat x30, Merkin x20, Imperial Walker x20

Backwards Run, Karaoke L, Karaoke R, High Knee length of parking lot (1 each)

Jacob’s Ladder x 7 on grass hill – Burpees

Run to lower lot – Jack Webb 1:4 to 10 Merkins:40 Air Press

Build-A-Burpee with Partner:  Partners count Merkins/Donkey Kicks/Squats x 100 each while trading runs and exercises

15 Flutters/15 Mountain Climbers/15 LBC/15 Mountain Climbers/15 Freddie Mercury/15 Mountain Climbers/15 Knee Ups

Run to bottom of quiet cull de sac hill/10 Burpees/Wake up Watch Dog/Backward run to top.

Run back to Park with some Burpees from Run Stopper.

Moleskin:

Not one announcement, nothing.

Swiper wins the chatter and slowest squat award, then LIFO to Winston.

Run to CMS for warm up:  SSH x 25 / Imperial Walker x 20 / Mountain Climber x 20 / Diamond x 20 / Knee Slappers – Drop for Merkin and Arm Press x 5, 10, 15, 10

Mosey to Football Field

Partner 1 Run / Partner 2 Knee Up, Switch.  Repeat: Flutters, Russian Twist, LBC

All run with exercise at 25/50/25/End, run back:  Carolina Dry Dock x 10, Merkin x 10, Burpee x 5

Mosey to Hill for 11s with Merkin at top, Squats at bottom

Prisoner Chair, Ball to Wall Press x 10, Repeat

Back to COP for Mary:  Sunrise, Rashard, and …was it One Eye?

Moleskin:

PAX enjoyed the knee slappers so much they decided to do more instead of the knee up on the field.  Of course it could have been Hamlet’s obsession with the word knee slapper.

Great mumble chatter.  Why was everyone in such a good mood?

Run to Carmel for warm ups:

SSHx30, Imperial Walker x 20, Mountain Climber x 20, Diamond x 12

Run to field.  Abort.  Almost wiped out in the slop so back to lot for Hoops Drills:

Run to each hoop for excercise, 5 burpees at the end, run back:  Merkins x 10, All Cotton Sit Ups x 10, Carolina Dry Docks x 10, Squats x 10, Burpees x 5

Run to back hill, partner up:

Partner 1 balls to the wall, partner 2 run to bottom fence and back,  Rinse & Repeat x 4

Run to side street for Jacobs Ladder x 6 with Burpees.

Mary:  Russian Twist (Swiper), Heels to Heaven (Snowflake), Slow Sit Up (Hamlet), Dolly x many (Skywalker)

Moleskin:

Great work out brothers.  Appreciate the mumble chatter to keep us going.

Playing in mud is one thing, but not being able to stand is another, the audible didnt slow us down.

Boomer was able to keep his Irish hat on through the full churn.  Impressive display.
