DICCS given, mosey towards Transporter’s shed and around the back of the school to the Driver Ed Lot. Circle up

The Thang

Head over to Champion forest.  5 burpee’s at each street light until to hit the first intersection

Hang a left at the intersection and head towards the pool.  Partner up.  P1 runs to playground and does 5 pull ups.  P2 does 10 mike Tyson’s and then squats until P1 returns.  Alternate until each partner does 20 pull ups.

Mosey back to intersection.  Hang a left and Indian Run to the second cul de sac on the right (Whitaker Place) for 7’s.  One Burpee at the bottom of the hill and 6 Merkins at the top of the hill. 2&5, 3&4 and so on…..

Indian Run back to entrance of Champion Forest.  Mosey back to COT slightly late

The Thang

Run – carved out approx. 1 mile loop and we repeated that a few times.  After the first 2 loops the hills were starting to kill me so I decided to reverse course and run the loop backwards.  That’s when things got weird.  Bottlecap and I were running and we heard what sounded like a woman moaning….it was the sound of deflated falling….then Foundation falling.  They dusted off and kept going but that didn’t stop the conspiracy theory’s from flowing.  We narrowed it down to 4 events that could have led up to their fall:

  1. Deflated fell and was holding on too tightly to certain Foundation body parts which caused Foundation to fall with him.
  2. A scorned lover (Smithers) sabotaged the run causing Deflated and Foundation to fall.
  3. Deflated fell and Foundation acted out of instinct and does what he always does when seeing deflated down on all fours.
  4. Deflated and Foundation tripped on a piece of pavement that was slighted elevated. (we quickly ruled this one out as it did not sound plausible)

The events above are mostly true as I remember them……Great group of guys this morning.  This was my first time Q’ing at Pursuit and those hills in Millbridge are awful. Appreciate you letting me lead you.

The Thang

Mosey long way around to elementary school parking lot.  Partner up and grab a lifting rock (or in schneider’s case just grab a small rock). P1 run to end of the parking lot and back while P2 does exercise, then switch.

As a team complete 250 curls, 150 overhead presses, 50 blockee’s

Mosey to long entrance to middle school off Deal road.  Run to light #1 and complete 2 burpees, run back to start for 10 jump squats, run to light #1 for 2 burpees then to light #2 for 4 burpees. Back to start for 10 jump squats.  Repeat at light #1 and #2 and then 6 burpees at light #3. Back to start for 10 jump squats.  Repeat at light 1,2,3 and then 8 burpees at light #4.  This was a crowd pleaser.

At the 200 and 400 markers at the front of the high school.

4 Rounds of the following:

2oo m sprint followed by 200 cool down

2oo m sprint followed by 200 cool down

400 m sprint followed by 400 cool down

 

finished with a cool down run from middle school entrance to crazy cabin boys house and back

MOLESKIN

A few things we learned today.

  1. Glidah is a guitar hero superstar
  2. Hollywood’s running form is not built for sprints
  3. Deflated’s and Smithers’ life choices are not built for sprints
  4. Ghosted in eager to EH cabin boy and loves the hour long workouts unlike some people in the group. (Chastain…cough cough)

 

Bridge out of order

So it appears that chickens are afraid of water.  And as an act of solidarity an entire neighborhood decided to keep the bridge up and fartsack together today to honor their sacred chicken. There were however 8 pax (50% of which reside in a certain neighborhood that ain’t scared) that were man enough to brave the rain this morning.

DICC’s given, and still had a few seconds left to make fun of Briarcrest, and off we go.  Mosey around the block to give myself time to plan a Wienke.

I announced in my DICC’s that we would not cross the street because of weather.  That went out the window pretty quick.  Cross the street and mosey to the end of N. Providence St.  at 1st street light do 20 big boi’s.  At second street light do 15 merkins.  Rinse and repeat until you make it to the stop sign near Dream Chases.

On the way back down N. Providence street do 20 Plank jacks at light 1 and 15 Bobby Hurleys at light 2.  Rinse and repeat down the road until we make it to the speed bump.

Mosey over BB&T parking lot and partner up.  P1 run lap around building while P2 does exercise, then switch. Each partner will do 2 sets of each exercise per round.

Round 3. Elbow plank

Mosey over to KJH.  1 burpee at the bottom and 10 merkins half way up the hill.  2 burpees at the bottom and 10 merkins halfway up the hill.  3 burpees at the bottom and 10 merkins halfway up the hill.  Head to COT.

Mosey over to high school parking lot for Hurpee ladder (hand release burpees) from 1 to 10.  start at top of the parking lot with 1 hand release burpee.  zig zag across the parking lot stopping at every island and increasing Hurpee count by 1 at each island. you end up with 10 Hurpees at the bottom of the parking lot.

Mosey over to rock pile and grab a lifting rock.  or in the case of Chicken little, just grab a small rock. Start with 30 curls and rifle carry to next set of parking spaces. drop rock and run to end of parking lot.  return to rock and complete 20 shoulder presses then rifle carry to next set of parking spaces.  rinse and repeat until you carried your rock the entire parking lot.  Return to top of parking lot with same concept only this time it was 20 squats and 10 tricep extensions.

Mosey soccer/lacrosse field behind the middle school.  Bear crawl/tyson web.  1 tyson/4 bear crawl, 2 tyson/8 bear crawl……all the way to 10 tysons/ 40 bear crawl.

Ignition Backlast

Six guys explored the gloom the get some miles in this morning.  Started with an opening mosey over to the football stadium parking lot where we discussed 4th of July and our Nantan would not spill the beans on a major announcement coming out later today.  We also made notice that Chastain’s tour of shame avoided any difficult hour long workouts.  what is he scared of??

Mosey over to entrance of Champion Forest.  Run to first intersection stopping at every street lamp for 5 burpees. I lost count but I have a reliable source (Gerber) that tells me its 50 burpees.

Indian run from intersection until the end of the road which is somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4 mile.

mosey over to the path that cuts through to Lawson through the graveyard. once in Lawson long mosey through the trails over to the pool. (one of 2 pools that we have in our Neighborhood).

7’s at the pool.  1 burpee at the parking lot and 6 pull ups at the playground. 2 burpee’s and 5 pull ups…keep going until we hit 6 burpees and 1 pull up.

Mosey from the Lawson pool to the front of the middle school. at the middle school do 30 dips and lap around the parking lot.  20 Derkins and lap around the parking lot. 10 incline merkins and mosey to COT.

I was reminded pretty early that I decided to Q today in order to avoid burpees but I made us do about 70 of them….whoops, my bad guys.

Dasher: Pre-runs and then logs another 5.5 miles at ignition. Well done. A. how many miles do you have this month and B. what time do you have to wake up to pre-run for a 5:15 workout?

Gerber: pulls a quad muscle and is still faster than 90% of us this morning.  ice up that thigh and cannot wait to read your announcement later today.

Glidah: stepped in and filled the Hurry roll this morning. I called an exercise and then we never saw him again.  he smoked us all.

Ghosted: hung with a bunch of gazelles on an indian run and did not even look tired. see what happens when you lose the sleeves.  lets those guns breathe brother.

Hollywood: you still owe us a burpee.

Mosey over to side of high school.  At Alcove one do 10 Mike Tyson’s.  mosey over to Alcove two and complete 20 Donkey kicks, then mosey to front of High School grab a bench and complete 30 Dips.  Rinse and repeat x 3

Mosey over to High School Gym.  I have no idea what the exercise is called or even if it has a name.  you plank facing the wall, put one hand up on the wall and then the second hand on the wall and then return said hands to the ground.  Whatever that is, we did 10 of them and then ran down the path and circled back around the to the stairs and did 5 burpees at the stairs.  Rinse and repeat x 3.

Mosey over to Rudy Shed. Wall sit and 20 air presses

Mosey up the path to COT and stop at each light for burpees. Start with one burpee and increase by one burpee at each light.  I think we got to 8 burpees at the last light.

I vowed to never get caught up in waffle gate, only make fun of it whenever I get the chance, but then this morning happened and I was smack dab in the middle of it.  Woke up to thunder and lightning this morning and a message from Chastain “we’re soft and moving Diesel to Cuthbertson with Recalc’s permission. Now I must come up with a new Wienke….wait a second, no I don’t, since we can’t move at Diesel my Wienke will work just fine at Cuthbertson.  So, I throw on my best sleeveless shirt and headed to over to CHS.

Rifle carry from entrance of gym to the stairs.  10 squats with coupon.  Rifle carry back to gym entrance. 10 squats with coupon.  Rifle carry back to stairs, 10 squats with coupon.

1 blockee and 4 American hammers.

You get the idea…..until we make it to 10 blockees and 40 American Hammers.  It took me a good 6 or 7 rounds to get in a good counting groove with Posse.

Mosey over to the long street behind Dream Chasers.  At each light do 5 burpee’s until you reach the end of the street.

Do 10 T-merkins and run a lap around the loop that connects N. Providence, Miller Dr, and Blythe mill Rd. (the DO NOT ENTER sign road) and do 10 more T-merkins at the end of the lap.  I had no idea whatsoever but there is a segment around this loop.  I wonder who the Champ is??

Head back towards Dream Chasers.  Paula Abdul’s on the way.  Up 2 lights (20 speed skaters) back 1 light (10 Bobby Hurley’s).  Cut this one short at E. Price st because I was getting board and Chicken Little recommended Burpee’s at KJH as the next stop.  Not wanting to upset the PAX, I obliged and we headed to KJH.

Head over to KJH. Suicides up KJH.  5 hand release merkins at the bottom and 5 burpees at every stop heading up the hill.

Mosey to COT.  wait, another recommendation from the PAX.  not sure who it was this time but someone pointed out the wall on the left.  To the wall we go 20 Mike Tyson’s at the wall and done! (Carb Load recommended have a nice day but we ran out of time).  next time Carb Load…I promise.
