Ignition Backblast

Mosey around the back of the school around to the front of the high school and circle up.

Warm up

20 x SSH

20 x Imperial Walkers

10 x Merkins

15 x plank jacks

The Thang

Mosey over to High School gym entrance.  At the gym entrance do 10 Mike Tysons, Run to Transporters Shed and complete 20 Donkey Kicks.  Rinse and repeat x 5. (running uphill and up steps from transporters shed to the gym entrance was down right awful)

Grab a lifting rock from pile near transporters shed and squat against transporters shed and complete the following:

25 x curls. Then run to top of bus lot and do 10 jump squats and run back.

25 x curls. Then run to top of bus lot and do 10 jump squats and run back.

25 x overhead press. Then run to top of bus lot and do 10 jump squats and run back.

25 x overhead press. Then run to top of bus lot and do 10 jump squats and run back.

Mosey over to the driveway that leads from bus lot over towards the football stadium. Start at the post at the bottom of the driveway  with 1 burpee and run to the post at the top and complete 6 merkins.  Repeat with 2 burpees + 5 merkins….ect until you reach 6 burpees and 1 merkin.

Mosey to COT and there are 30 seconds left.  5 burpees each to finish.  Thanks Wolverine, Hollywood, Bottlecap, Moneyball, Dana, Chicken Little, Dancing Bear and Gerber for joining me.  Appreciate you guys allowing me to lead for an hour and hope you enjoyed it.

wait….I am on Q?!?

There I was, minding my own business last night, when all of the sudden I was voluntold that I was the Q for ignition.  Screw you thanks bottlecap for so graciously nominating me for this honor.  I had no choice but decided to accept the challenge and pull a quick schedule together for the morning.  My goal was 4 miles and zero abs as a show of respect to Hollywood.  We got 5 miles and 10 LBC’s (sorry Hollywood).  I did get some negative mumble chatter (even from Wolverine who is a machine) during some of the exercises which was a sign that I was doing a good job. I knew Bottlecap would be there so I focused on upper body to try to help this guy out for beach season….Here is what we did:

The Thang

Mosey over to bus lot.  Partner up.  Each partner runs opposite directions around the island where the buses park.  When you meet up with your partner do 10 hand slap merkins.  Keep running around the island until you have met up with your partner 4 times.

Mosey around front of high school toward the high school parking lot over near the football field.  Starting at the top of the parking lot complete 1 burpee at the 1st island.  Run across the parking lot to the second island and do 2 burpees.  Zig zag across the parking lot increasing by 1 burpee at each island until you reach the bottom of the parking lot. (you end up doing 10 burpees at the last island)

Mosey over to the side of the high school for a triple nickel.  At alcove one complete 10 mike Tysons then run over to alcove 2 and complete 20 donkey kicks.  Rinse and repeat 5 times. 

Mosey over to the round about by the baseball fields for a round of 7’s.  1 burpee at the top round-a-bout and 6 merkins at the bottom round-a-bout.  2 burpees and 5 merkins….and so on and so until you get to 6 burbees and 1 merkin.

Dromedary Backblast

Always a great group of men to Post with at Dromedary and thankfully the rain held off today. Thank you for following me around Marvin for my 1st Dromedary Q. Special Happy Birthday announcement to Shake-N-Bake!!

Warm up:

Mosey around parking lot and circle up

20 x SSH

20 x Imperial Walkers

15 x Mountain Climbers

15 x Merkins

15 x plank jacks

The Thang:

  • Partner up – Mosey over to the rocks.
  • Curls
    • Partner 1 Curl /Partner 2 run to the top of the lot – 2 Burpees then flap jack – 200 combined
  • Tricep Press
    • Partner 1 Tricep Press / Partner 2 run to the top of the lot – 2 Burpees then flap jack – 200 combined
  • Shoulder Press
    • Partner 1 Shoulder Press / Partner 2 run to the top of the lot – 2 Burpees then flap jack – 200 combined
  • Mosey to the side of High School in the alcove area.
  • Start at 1 alcove with 20 donkey Kicks
  • Run over to 2nd alcove for 10 Mike Tysons
  • Rinse and repeat until you have completed 100 donkey kicks and 50 Mike Tysons
  • Mosey back towards COT.  Stop at the final row of trees in the middle of the parking lot.  5 jump squats at each tree until you reach the end.  Time’s up!

Mosey toward the railroad tracks, workout at each light.  Alternate exercise

Cross Street Together (some chose to hold hands and skip and hey, if it helps you get safely across the street, do what makes you feel right. I can’t promise you wont get shamed in the playhouse for that though). Mosey to Dream Chasers for warm-up:

The Thang

Partner up at big Tree in front of Dream Chasers.  Partner 1 run lap around block behind dream chasers.  Partner 2 exercises, then rotate until we have completed:

200 dips

150 step ups

100 derkins

Mosey over to N. Providence street (the street behind dream chasers) for a burpee mile.  10 burpees at stop sign, run ¼ mile to cones, 10 more burpees, return to stop sign. Rinse and repeat until we reached 1 mile.

Mosey over to Kim Jong un hill for some sevens.  Start 1 burpee at bottom of hill.  Run to top of hill for 6 merkins.  Then 2 burpees and 5 merkins….you get the idea. Up and down the hill until we reached 6 burpees and 1 merkin. 

Mosey to COT.  45 seconds left… abs to close it out.

The Moleskin

It takes the pressure off knowing that you are getting your Q feet wet at the 87th worst site in Union County.  I figured, What’s the worst that can happen and if I mess up no one will be there to see it anyway.  I did however have the pleasure of leading 8 pax today and I appreciate each and every one of you for showing up and allowing me to lead you.  You all pushed hard and stayed together which made the new no-mary rule easy to implement. Maybe it was the love in the air on Valentine’s day but there was no complaining or critiquing today which was odd.

Easy Button’s VQ

Not a bad morning for a VQ.  18 PAX decided to push me through it and I appreciate it.  Although Shake n Bake saw it was a new Q and got the hell out of there before it even started and then Deadwood ditched me halfway through, so we ended with 16 PAX.

THE WARM UP:

Mosey from Brooklyn Pizza alongside of PetSmart parking lot to the backside of PetSmart to Target lot for warm up. Circled up and gave disclaimer. 20 SSH, 20 Imperial Walkers, 15 Peter Parkers, 20 Plank Jacks, 14 mountain climbers (I messed up the count)

THE THANG:

Mosey to the opposite end of the Target parking lot for an end to end run. Start at one end, at each tree do an exercise. Alternate between 10 merkins and 10 jump squats. Run back to the other end doing the same exercise

Mosey over to PetSmart – 4 corners with 5 burpees in the middle. 10 Merkins, 10 Carolina Dry Docks, 10 squats, 10 jump squats.

Mosey behind PetSmart over to Target again for triple nickle – start at one end of the parking lot with 5 burpees, run to other end of the parking lot for 5 merkins, then back to the beginning.  Rinse and repeat x 5.

Mosey over to far side of target parking lot and partner up for exercises.  Partner 1 runs towards target to end of parking lot while partner 2 does LBC’s.  keep rotating until the partners have completed 50 LBC’s, 50 Heels to heaven, and 100 American Hammers.

Mosey through Target parking lot and then behind Petsmart and back to start.  Stop near Hickory Tavern to for one last excercise.  Run from one end of parking lot to the other stopping at each light for 5 merkins.
