1 Minute work/ 1 minute rest – sort of…

A damp morning welcomed 15 PAX to meathead for an opportunity to build ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Warmup:

  • SSH x 15
  • 10 KB swings OYO
  • Merkins x 15
  • 10 KB Swings OYO
  • MTN Climbers x 15
  • 10 KB Swings OYO
  • IW x 15
  • 10 KB Swings OYO
  • Arm circles, stretch shoulders, low back, quads, calves.

The Thang:

Grab your bell – do each exercise for 1 minute, then rest 1 minute in between – during your rest complete 10 Merkins.

  • 2H Swings
  • Lunge – 30 seconds each side
  • High Pulls – 30 seconds each side
  • Squat & Press – 30 seconds each side
  • Snatch – 30 seconds each side
  • Sit & 2H overhead Press
  • One Handed Swing – 30 seconds each side
  • Reverse Lunge – 30 seconds each side
  • Clean – 30 seconds each side
  • Clean, Squat & Press – 30 seconds each side
  • Deadlifts
  • Good Mornings
  • Single Leg RDL – 30 seconds each side
  • Curls/ Tricep ext – 30 seconds each
  • LBC – no KB
  • Flutter press w/ KB
  • Freddy Mercury – no KB
  • Swings

DONE!

NMM:

  • I had only planned on 10 exercises this am, but we were in such a rhythm it made sense to keep it going for the whole workout!
  • This may sound easy until you get to about the 4th round, and from there out the minute rest keeps feeling shorter and the 1 minute work feels longer.
  • You all pushed hard this morning to make it through.  I was impressed by the commitment and good form I saw.
  • I had no idea how hard this was until I was driving to work and just wanted to go back to bed because I was completely drained.
  • Freedom took us out with a powerful prayer from the Holy Spirit.
  • Thanks for the opportunity to lead!  It’s always fun for me!

Tough one. A couple hours later, I could already tell, I was gonna be sore the next day. Glutes and hammies reminded me that, yes, we did lunges.
