Where are we?

  • QIC: TML
  • The PAX: Run Stopper, Catfish, Baracus, Chappy, Flutie Flakes, Brisket, Hopper, Mr. Clean, Hops, Sundancer, Callaway, Snowflake, Hannibal, Kirk, Agony, Iron Mike, Talkbox, Bushwood, One Eye, Joker, Love Bug, Hammer, Orlando, Little John??

Where are we?

Hops planted the flag and 25 answered the call for a neighborhood tour in unfamiliar territory for YHC.

  • SSH
  • Merkins x 25
  • Flutters x 40
  • 10 burpees OYO

Time to explore the neighborhood.

Head up Carmel and right on Thornridge (we may have stopped along the way for exercises, can’t recall).  Left on Broad Hollow and down to the bottom of the hill.

  • Partner 1 runs up the hill towards Kimblewyck, partner 2 heads back up to Thornridge. 6 crossfit burpees at the top, down to your partner for 20 hand slaps, then switch hills and do the same.
  • Repeat above with 8, then 10 crossfit burpees.
  • Mini plankerama til we have the 6.

Back up to Thornridge and take a left to Camilla.  Then Camilla down to Fernbank Dr. with various stops along the way for exercises.

Hot lap around the block:

  • Starting at the corner of Fernbank and Camilla, partner 1 heads down Fernbank, rt on Pepperdine, rt on Innsbrook, rt on Camilla and back to the start. Partner 2 runs around the block in the opposite direction.
  • Each time you meet your partner, 10 partner derkins and 10 burpees each.

Back down to the bottom of Fernbank for some hill work.

  • Partner carry to the top.
  • Flap jack.
  • Bear crawl to the top.

Back up Camilla to Carmel stopping along the way for increasing wide-arms – 5, then 10, 15, 20, and 25 at the last speed bump before Carmel.

AYG the rest of the way to the park for COT

Moleskin:

  • Happy to report to Tiger Rag that we did have a phone with us this morning thanks to Snowflake (last thing I want is to be on TR’s $%$# list).
  • Great to see some familiar faces this morning that I don’t get to see very often. Plus a lot of new faces for me.
  • I can honestly say that until I drove around the area yesterday, I had never seen some of these streets. And from the mumblechatter I wasn’t alone. Lots of good hills around, streets are lit, and not a lot of traffic – good recipe for F3 success.
  • While many of us had no idea where we were, Fernbank and Camilla was apparently where F3 started for Hops – must have been meant to be.
  • Speed on display from Joker, Bushwood, Love Bug, Kirk, Agony and others.
  • Joker and One Eye were crazy fast on the bear crawl. And I had fun racing One Eye on the last AYG – great effort!
  • Great partnering with Snowflake #respect and appreciate you being on phone duty (which extended into COT).
  • I was confident we had kept everyone together but there was a rumor that Little John was with us at the start but was nowhere to be found about half way through #sherwoodshortcut. Hope everything is ok.
  • How awesome is it that I get to run around like a kid with my pastor? So thankful for F3.
  • Thanks to Run Stopper for the take out.

Announcements:

  • Don’t miss the return of The Goat this Saturday – 0600 launch from the Muthaship – finish around 0930.

Thanks for the strong Q TML. Indeed, the pax who EH’d me – Longhorn – lives on Fernbank. Used to pick him up and head to Mustang, Bandit, etc. for my 1st year prior to Area51’s emergence.
Strong crew out there this morning; thanks for keeping the pax together in unfamiliar territory.
By the way, size matters when partner carries are involved…..#mercy Love ya Mr. Clean…

Great Q TML! Still picking asphalt out of my forearms from elbow hand slaps. Great hill runs and uphill partner carry. #unsavory

Can honestly say I really had no idea where I was from about 5:31-6:14AM… but it was great terrain for F3 shenanigans. Great workout… enjoyed the pace.

Well, that was fun….

Where did Joker come from? Never saw him until the run to Fernbank. DMZ FNG??

Kirk was running on a bum foot after his toe nail was taken off by a mattress this weekend (no idea how that happens) and he was still out front. #Strong

Agony “didn’t hear” the instructions for burpees on the Broadhollow and did merkins. Suuuurrrreeee you did Agony.

Thanks TML, that was relentless.

TML – Great lead – at least for the 20 minutes I posted …

Been absent posting for close to two years – #MarbledBellyFat rather than #SherwoodShortcut explains Monday’s LIFO. A painful repeat of my first posting experience

I’ll be back
