13 gents got after it in the gloom with a new twist on an old weightlifting classic. Any former high school athletes from the ’90’s may remember, Bigger, Faster, Stronger workout? The best workout at the time to add muscle to teenage puebesent frames. Fast forward to today, crunch the month long program into 45 minutes, add a kettlebell, and some much older now meatheads and this is what you got:
The Thang
SSH x 20
Merkins x 20
Squat x 20
CDD x 20
As a circuit, If you can’t go heavy, go double
3×3 (heavy)
High pull
50 swings
High pull
30 swings
High pull
20 swings
As a circuit
Tricep ext
One hand rows
Lying down two handed press
Tea bagger squat
Reverse lunge
Upright row
Overhead Press
Shrugs (partner up for 2 KB)
No need for Mary at Meathead
Good crowd this morning. What a great way to start the day! Not a whole lot of mumble chatter early as the influence of Bigger, Faster, Stronger set in pretty quick. Even Pandora stayed strong for the most part as well. I saw a lot of guys mixing it up and going with heavier bells which is the only way to get stronger. Others pushing each other to finish as it got dang tough about half way through. Good to see all of the usual faces and glad to see Bananas back grinding it out with the iron again. Brushback showed up sporting his winter coat on his face. Used Just for Men, but it’s really just for tha lay-days! Numbers are strong and growing. Thanks for your dedication to strength. Well, its actually probably due to the much anticipated F3Meathead sleeveless shirt debut. Coming soon my friends, coming soon. Thanks to Bulldog for taking us out. Until next Thursday…

Good one, Brown. I liked the opportunity to try heavier bells, in addition to mixing in normal/lighter as needed. Slight/comfortable DOMS today – the hallmark of a good workout!
